Toyota Lease Deals

Toyota built its reputation on cars that simply keep working, and on hybrid technology it was selling years before most of the industry took the idea seriously. We price 14 Toyota models today, split across SUV, Hatchback and Estate body styles.

Five of those models are electric, five are self-charging hybrids, three offer a plug-in hybrid, one is petrol and one is diesel. Choosing between them is mostly a question of size first, then how much of your driving you can do on a battery.

If it is the electric side of the brand that brought you here, the Toyota BZ4X is the family-sized place to start: a five-seat SUV of 4.69 m with a 452-litre boot and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.

About Toyota

Toyota is a Japanese manufacturer known above all for dependability, strong residual values and pioneering petrol-electric hybrids. Reviewers consistently describe its cars as sensible, efficient and easy to live with, rather than exciting - with the odd deliberate exception.

That sensible streak shows in the ownership terms. Every model we price carries the same 3-year / 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty, with no small print that varies by body style or powertrain.

The range itself is unusually wide. It starts with a 3.78 m city hatchback and runs up to a people carrier that seats nine, and five of the 14 models we price are fully electric - a brand that was late to battery power now has a proper spread of it.

The Toyota range we lease

We price 14 Toyota models today: six SUVs, five hatchbacks and three estates. Below, each one gets its own short summary - what it is for, who it suits and the figures that matter - with a link through to its model page and live pricing.

Toyota SUVs

The BZ4X is Toyota's mainstream electric SUV, with five seats, a 452-litre boot and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating in a 4.69 m body. It will tow a braked trailer of up to 750 kg, and comes in three trims. Deals start from £385.46 a month.

The Toyota BZ4X Touring stretches the same idea to 4.83 m and a 669-litre boot, with braked towing up to 1,500 kg across its two trims. Pick it if the electric SUV you want needs to swallow a dog crate or a caravan hitch. Deals start from £362.86 a month.

The Toyota C-hr is the style-led compact SUV, available as a self-charging hybrid or a plug-in hybrid. It is 4.36 m long, seats five, holds 310 to 447 litres depending on version and carries a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Five trims. Deals start from £293.70 a month.

The Toyota Land Cruiser is the working end of the range: diesel, five seats, a 742-litre boot and 4.93 m of body. It tows up to 3,500 kg braked, more than any other Toyota we price. Deals start from £996.49 a month.

The Toyota RAV4 is the plug-in hybrid family SUV - 4.60 m, five seats, a 5-star Euro NCAP rating and four trims. It suits drivers who commute short distances on electric power but still want a petrol engine for the long runs. Deals start from £419.40 a month.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser is the small electric SUV, at 4.29 m with five seats, a 216 to 222-litre boot depending on version and a 4-star Euro NCAP rating. Braked towing runs to 750 kg, and there are three trims. Deals start from £280.22 a month.

Toyota hatchbacks

The Toyota Aygo X is the smallest Toyota we price, at 3.78 m, with four seats, a 226-litre boot, self-charging hybrid power and a 4-star Euro NCAP rating. Four trims. For tight streets and multi-storeys, nothing else in the range is easier. Deals start from £229.82 a month.

The Toyota Corolla is the sensible family hybrid, roughly 4.37 m long, seating five, with a boot of 313 to 596 litres depending on version and towing up to 750 kg braked. Four trims, and three body styles you can compare on its own page. Deals start from £298.63 a month.

The Toyota GR Yaris is the brand's fun side made official - petrol, four seats, 4.00 m long, two trims. Reviewers rate it as one of the most engaging small performance cars on sale. Deals start from £680.99 a month.

The Toyota Prius is now a plug-in hybrid only, 4.60 m long with five seats and two trims. It is the obvious pick for company car drivers who want low emissions without committing to a charging cable every night. Deals start from £389.20 a month.

The Toyota Yaris is the self-charging hybrid supermini: about 3.94 m, five seats, a 286-litre boot, a 4-star Euro NCAP rating and braked towing up to 450 kg. Four trims. A town car that behaves itself on a motorway. Deals start from £264.40 a month.

Toyota estates

The Toyota Proace City Verso is an electric van-based estate with five or seven seats and 983 to 1,538 litres of boot space, in about 4.40 m. Two trims, and braked towing up to 750 kg. Deals start from £395.88 a month.

The Toyota Proace Verso goes further: seven or nine seats, 700 to 1,300 litres of luggage space and about 4.98 m of length, all electric, in four trims. It tows up to 1,000 kg braked. Deals start from £633.83 a month.

The Toyota Yaris Cross is the raised, rugged-looking hybrid, about 4.17 m long, seating five, with a 266 to 350-litre boot and a 4-star Euro NCAP rating. Four trims. Reviewers rate its real-world economy highly. Deals start from £270.41 a month.

Electric and hybrid Toyota models

Five Toyota models we price are fully electric: the BZ4X, BZ4X Touring, Urban Cruiser, Proace City Verso and Proace Verso. Three more offer a plug-in hybrid - the C-hr, RAV4 and Prius - for drivers not ready to give up petrol entirely.

The electric five cover a lot of ground. Urban Cruiser is the compact one at 4.29 m; BZ4X and BZ4X Touring are the family SUVs, at 4.69 m and 4.83 m; and the two Proace models carry up to seven and nine people respectively.

Why lease a Toyota?

Leasing a Toyota puts you in a new car under the full 3-year / 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty, with road tax and the manufacturer's own servicing schedule sitting behind a fixed monthly rental. You hand it back at the end and walk away from resale risk entirely.

That warranty term is the same on every Toyota we price, so a diesel Land Cruiser and an electric Urban Cruiser come with identical cover. What varies is the deal, not the terms.

The Proace City Verso is a good example of what leasing does well: an electric estate with up to seven seats and 1,538 litres of boot space at the top of its range is a lot of vehicle to buy outright, and a much simpler proposition on a fixed monthly rental.

Which Toyota should you choose?

Start with what the car has to do. Size, seat count, towing and how you plan to fuel it will narrow 14 models down to two or three faster than any spec sheet comparison will.

For the smallest and easiest to park, the Aygo X at 3.78 m is the answer, with the Yaris close behind at about 3.94 m if you need five seats rather than four.

For family duty, the Corolla covers it with a boot of 313 to 596 litres depending on version, while the RAV4 adds plug-in hybrid power and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.

If you tow, the Land Cruiser handles up to 3,500 kg braked. Nothing else in the range comes close.

For electric driving, the BZ4X is the family-sized choice at 452 litres of boot space, the BZ4X Touring the bigger-booted version at 669 litres, and the Urban Cruiser the compact one.
