A guide to every Chery we can lease today: four SUVs running from the compact Tiggo 4 to the seven-seat Tiggo 9, in petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid form. It explains what each model is for and how to choose between them on seats, size, towing and how you plan to charge.
Chery is one of China's largest carmakers and the parent of Omoda and Jaecoo, and it now sells in the UK under its own badge. The current Chery line-up we lease is four SUVs, spanning compact hybrid family transport up to a seven-seat plug-in hybrid flagship.
Every Chery we price is an SUV, and every one carries a 7-year / 100,000-mile manufacturer warranty with servicing due every 12 months or 10,000 miles. Three of the four models offer a plug-in hybrid, two offer petrol, and one is a self-charging hybrid.
Choosing is mostly a question of seats and plugs. If you want the smallest and simplest, the Tiggo 4 is the compact hybrid of the range at 4.32 m long, with five seats and a 430-litre boot - no cable, no charging routine.

Chery builds high-specification SUVs at prices that undercut established rivals, and backs them with a long warranty. It's a volume brand rather than a premium one, and the whole range we price is SUVs.
Reviewers consistently praise the cabin quality, the size of the screens and the amount of standard equipment for the money, while being less complimentary about ride comfort and steering feel. That's a fair summary of the trade-off: you get more car and more kit, not a sharper drive.
The size spread runs from the Tiggo 4 at 4.32 m to the Tiggo 9 at 4.81 m, so there's a Chery for a tight urban parking space and one for a school run with seven aboard. Every model we price shares the same 7-year / 100,000-mile warranty and the same 12-month or 10,000-mile service interval, which makes the range easy to compare on ownership terms.
Four Chery models are priced with us today, all SUVs. They separate cleanly: one compact hybrid, one mid-size five-seater, and two seven-seaters, with plug-in hybrid power available on three of the four.
The Chery Tiggo 4 is the compact one, and the only self-charging hybrid here - you never plug it in. Five seats, a 430-litre boot, 4.32 m long and a 4-star Euro NCAP rating, in a choice of two trims. Deals start from £252.60 a month.
The Chery Tiggo 7 is the mid-size family SUV, offered as a petrol or a plug-in hybrid across two trims. It seats five, measures 4.55 m, holds 484 to 565 litres in the boot depending on version, and carries a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Deals start from £237.22 a month.
The Chery Tiggo 8 adds a third row: seven seats in a 4.73 m body, with petrol or plug-in hybrid power and two trims. With every seat in use the boot holds 117 litres, so treat the rearmost pair as occasional. Euro NCAP rates it 5 stars. Deals start from £270.85 a month.
The Chery Tiggo 9 is the largest Chery we lease at 4.81 m, sold in one trim and as a plug-in hybrid only. Seven seats, 143 litres of boot behind the third row, and braked towing of up to 1,500 kg. Deals start from £379.63 a month.
There's no full electric Chery in our prices today, but every model offers some electrification. Three are available as plug-in hybrids - Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 9 - and the Tiggo 4 is a self-charging hybrid.
A plug-in hybrid (PHEV) has a battery you charge from the mains plus a petrol engine, so short trips can run on electricity and long ones don't need a charging stop. That suits drivers with off-street parking and a predictable commute, and company car drivers, because low CO2 emissions mean a lower Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax band than a petrol equivalent.
The Tiggo 9 goes a step further by being plug-in hybrid only. If you can't charge at home or at work, the Tiggo 4's hybrid system tops up its own battery as you drive, and the petrol versions of the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 remain straightforward alternatives. Leasing suits a young brand well. Chery's 7-year / 100,000-mile manufacturer warranty covers every model we price, and a typical lease term ends long before that cover runs out - so warranty questions and resale value questions both largely disappear.
Servicing is due every 12 months or 10,000 miles across the range, which makes budgeting simple, and you can add a maintenance package so servicing and tyres sit inside the monthly rental. Your lease also includes road tax for the contract term and delivery to your door.
The Tiggo 8 is a good example of why that matters: a seven-seat plug-in hybrid is a lot of new technology to take on, and a fixed monthly rental hands the depreciation risk back to the funder. Start with how many people you carry and whether you can plug in at home. That narrows four models to one or two very quickly, because the range is neatly stepped rather than overlapping.
For town driving and tight parking, the Tiggo 4 is the smallest at 4.32 m, and its self-charging hybrid means no cable to manage. For a five-seat family car, the Tiggo 7 at 4.55 m gives you 484 to 565 litres of boot depending on version, and a choice of petrol or plug-in hybrid.
Need seven seats? Both the Tiggo 8 and the Tiggo 9 have them. The Tiggo 8 lets you choose between petrol and plug-in hybrid; the Tiggo 9 is plug-in hybrid only, is the longest Chery we lease at 4.81 m, and tows the most at up to 1,500 kg braked.
