View dealThe Toyota Land Cruiser is a full-size, go-anywhere 4x4 that puts durability and off-road ability ahead of showroom polish. It's the tough end of Toyota's SUV line-up, sitting well above the road-biased RAV4 and Highlander in both size and intent.
The choice here is refreshingly small. One body style, one engine - a 2.8-litre diesel with 202bhp, an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive - and a five-seat cabin with a 742-litre boot.
So the real question isn't which Land Cruiser to pick. It's whether you genuinely need this much capability, because if you do, very little else comes close.

The Land Cruiser is a serious off-roader with a heritage stretching back more than 70 years, and the current fifth-generation car, on sale in this form since 2024, continues the Land Cruiser name.
Reviewers consistently praise its off-road ability, its retro-influenced styling and its reputation for durability. The same testers are equally consistent about the trade-offs: a gruff diesel, noticeable body lean and a ride that fidgets on poor tarmac.
Practically, it seats five, swallows 742 litres behind the rear seats and comes with a three-year or 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty. At 4.93m long and 1.98m wide, with a 12.0m turning circle, it's a big thing to park.
Because every Land Cruiser arrives heavily equipped, and leasing lets you run one on a fixed monthly rental over a set term rather than tying up capital in a vehicle you may only need for a few years.
Standard kit across the range includes a head-up display, 360-degree camera, built-in navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, an opening panoramic roof, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control and a powered tailgate.
The driver-assistance list is just as full: adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, active lane-change assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam and front and rear parking sensors. Roof rails and privacy glass are standard too.

There's only one, so this decision is made for you: a 2.8-litre diesel with 202bhp, driving all four wheels through an automatic gearbox. No charging, no plug, no battery to think about.
The 2.8-litre four-cylinder produces 202bhp and 500Nm through an eight-speed automatic, which matters more than the 12.3-second 0-62mph time and 106mph top speed. Official WLTP economy is 26.4mpg with CO2 of 282g/km, from an 80-litre tank.

The Land Cruiser is sold in a single, generously specified version rather than a ladder of trim levels, so what you're choosing between is colour, and the term and mileage on the contract.
Everything listed earlier - the panoramic roof, ventilated seats, head-up display, 360-degree camera, LED headlights, electric seat memory and the full safety suite - is fitted as standard. There's no entry version to trade down to and no headline feature locked behind an upgrade.
Five paint colours are offered across the range: Decuma grey, Galaxy black, Platinum white pearl, Sand and Solid-Astral black. Colour availability moves around with build slots, so if you have your heart set on one, tell us early.
