Toyota Proace Verso Lease Deals

The Toyota Proace Verso is Toyota's largest people carrier, now sold as a single electric estate with seven or nine seats and a boot of up to 1,300 litres. This guide explains the powertrain, the four trims and who the car genuinely suits before you pick a deal.

The Toyota Proace Verso is a van-based people carrier built for the jobs ordinary seven-seat SUVs quietly fail at: moving seven or nine people, with their bags, in one go. The current Proace Verso has been on sale in this form since 2024 and is electric only.

It sits at the top of Toyota's people-carrying range, above the brand's car-based family models, and it's the one to look at if seat count and floor space matter more than styling or driving fun. A tall, square body does most of the work.

The choice is simple: one estate body, one electric powertrain, and four trims - Icon, Design, Design Premium and Excel.

About the Toyota Proace Verso

The Proace Verso is Toyota's largest MPV: a 7 or 9-seat electric estate with a boot of between 700 and 1,300 litres with the rear seats up, depending on the version, and a three-year or 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty.

Reviewers consistently make the same two points. Space and flexibility are outstanding - three rows that adults can actually use - and it drives like what it is, a comfortable, quiet, slightly rolly commercial-vehicle derivative rather than a car.

Road testers also flag the range honestly: up to 214 miles on the WLTP test is workable for school runs, shuttle work and regional trips, less so for constant long motorway hauls with nine aboard. Toyota's battery is separately warranted for 5 years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of capacity.

Why lease a Toyota Proace Verso?

Because it's a specialist tool with a long list of standard kit, and leasing keeps you out of the second-hand market for a vehicle this specific. Every Proace Verso has heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, built-in navigation, air conditioning, privacy glass and rear parking sensors.

Safety and assistance are standard across the range too: autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, automatic high beam, LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers and an electric parking brake. Icon adds a pre-collision system with a driver monitoring camera.

On practicality, the numbers do the talking - 5 doors, a 1.92 m width, a 12.4 m turning circle and braked towing up to 1,000 kg. If you're new to electric running costs and charging, our electric car guide is a sensible starting point.

Which Proace Verso powertrain is right for me?

There's only one, so the decision is really whether electric suits your week. Every Proace Verso uses the same 75 kWh battery and 134 bhp front-wheel-drive motor, with an automatic drive and no petrol, diesel or hybrid option anywhere in the range.

Electric

The 75 kWh battery (68 kWh usable) gives a WLTP range of up to 214 miles and 134 bhp with 260 Nm of torque. Charging runs at up to 100 kW, taking 0-80% in 45 minutes on the best version, or 0-100% in 11.3 hours from a 7 kW home charger. Top speed is 81 mph.

In plain terms: charge it overnight where you can, and treat it as a car for local and regional work rather than repeated 300-mile days. Efficiency is 2.5-2.6 miles per kWh, and it'll be at the lower end with a full load.

Which Proace Verso trim should I choose?

All four trims share the same 134 bhp electric powertrain, so you're choosing comfort, wheels and driver aids rather than performance. Icon covers the essentials; Design, Design Premium and Excel layer on glass, leather and assistance kit.

Icon

Icon rides on 17-inch steel wheels in a 5 Triple Spoke style with cloth upholstery, and includes Eco LED headlights with cornering lights, a 10-inch Toyota Touch 2 with Go navigation screen, a three-spoke leather heated steering wheel and the pre-collision system with driver monitoring camera.

The Icon is currently available from £637.37 a month.

Design

Design swaps in 17-inch 5 Double Spoke machined-face alloy wheels and adds the Skyview fixed panoramic glass roof, Flankguard rear parking sensors, front parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, keyless entry and start, and wireless phone charging. Cloth upholstery continues.

The Design is currently available from £677.82 a month. Against the Icon, that is currently £40.45/mo more expensive.

Design Premium

This is the comfort step. Design Premium brings leather upholstery, massaging front seats, heated rear seats, an electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory, and manually adjustable lumbar support for the front passenger - worth having if passengers spend hours aboard.

The Design Premium is currently available from £777.77 a month. Against the Design, that is currently £99.95/mo more expensive.

Excel

Excel is the driver-assistance step: adaptive cruise control with full stop functionality, a rear-view camera and the 10-inch Toyota Touch 2 with Go navigation screen, on the same 17-inch alloys and leather trim. The camera alone changes how easy this thing is to reverse.

The Excel is currently available from £802.67 a month. Against the Design Premium, that is currently £24.90/mo more expensive.

Toyota Proace Verso FAQs

Yes, particularly larger ones. With 7 or 9 seats, sliding side doors and three rows that adults can sit in properly, it handles jobs a seven-seat SUV struggles with. The trade-off is a tall, van-derived body that won't fit every garage.

Up to 214 miles on the WLTP test from the 75 kWh battery, with 206 miles at the other end of the range depending on version. Expect less with nine people and luggage aboard, or in cold weather. Official efficiency is 2.5-2.6 miles per kWh.

Between 700 and 1,300 litres with all the rear seats in place, depending on the version you choose. Fold the seats down and that rises to between 2,700 and 3,300 litres. Check the exact figure on the individual deal, because it varies with body length.

It can tow up to 1,000 kg braked and 750 kg unbraked. That covers a small trailer or a lightweight caravan, but it's modest for a vehicle of this size, so heavy towing isn't its strength. Towing will also reduce your electric range noticeably.

The manufacturer warranty is 3 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. The high-voltage battery is covered separately for 5 years or 100,000 miles, with Toyota guaranteeing 70% of its capacity over that period. Most lease terms sit comfortably inside that cover.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time - rentals move as pricing is refreshed, and a higher-spec version isn't automatically dearer per month. The entry Icon is currently from £637.37 a month. Compare the live Proace Verso deals below, or see our guide to choosing your car for help with term and mileage.
