Reviewers are consistent about where this car shines and where it doesn't. It's genuinely formidable off-road and built like a tool, and it asks you to accept road manners that a conventional family SUV wouldn't. Buy into that and you'll love it.

INEOS makes one vehicle family: a boxy 4x4 conceived as a modern successor to the original utility off-roader. Every INEOS we price is an SUV, powered by petrol or diesel, and carries a five-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty.

The engineering story is the brand's calling card. Reviewers consistently praise the result off-road - the chassis, the axles and the low-range hardware are the point of the car, not a trim option.

The unlimited-mileage element of that warranty deserves a second look. Plenty of manufacturers cap a five-year policy at 60,000 or 100,000 miles. INEOS doesn't, which tells you what sort of customer it expects: farmers, contractors, towers, people who cover ground.

The INEOS range we lease today is one model in one body style: the Grenadier SUV, available with petrol or diesel engines and in three trims. It seats five, tows up to 3,500 kg braked, and measures 4.90 m long.

The INEOS Grenadier is for people whose work or weekends involve mud, gates, trailers and tracks. Five seats, a boot of 1,152 to 1,255 litres depending on version, 4.90 m of length and braked towing up to 3,500 kg - horsebox, plant trailer or boat. Petrol or diesel. Deals start from £815.51 a month.

Why lease an INEOS?

Leasing an INEOS puts a brand-new 4x4 on your drive for a fixed monthly rental, inside a five-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty that comfortably outlasts a typical two, three or four-year lease term. You hand it back at the end; residual value isn't your problem.

That matters more than usual here. A hard-working off-roader is exactly the sort of vehicle whose future value is difficult to call, because so much depends on how it has been used. On a lease, that risk sits with the funder.

Which INEOS should you choose?

With one model in the range, the honest answer is that the Grenadier is the INEOS for every job an INEOS suits - and the real decision is fuel and trim. Here's how the common requirements map onto what's available.

Towing: the Grenadier, rated up to 3,500 kg braked, which is the legal ceiling for most towing setups anyway. If that number is why you're here, you're in the right place.

Family duties: the Grenadier seats five, with a boot of 1,152 to 1,255 litres depending on version. Plenty of room for dogs, kit and luggage, though the character of the car is utility first.

Town driving and parking: at 4.90 m long it's a substantial thing, and it was never designed around multi-storey car parks. Reviewers are blunt about the low-speed steering. Worth a test drive before you commit.

Electric or plug-in hybrid: there isn't one. The INEOS line-up we price is petrol and diesel only, so if an EV is the requirement, look at our electric car lease deals instead.
