It’s one of the most popular models in the firm’s line-up and the refreshed Mercedes C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet are now available to buy.

As with the new C Class estate and saloon, the Cabriolet and Coupe are also available with the option of a 12.3 inch digital cockpit display which gives the interior a luxurious and modern feel.

The firm says the new offerings will bring a sporty edge to their C Class line-up.

Engines for the Mercedes C-Class Coupe

Engines for the Mercedes C-Class Coupe include a 1.5 litre petrol unit with EQ Boost which is available in rear wheel drive, and for the Coupe only, an all-wheel drive option. The engine produces 184 HP and 280Nm of torque.

The EQ Boost utilises a 48 volt network with a belt driven starter and alternator which adds an extra 14 HP to the Coupe’s overall engine output.

The Coupe should return around 46 mpg with emissions of 140g/km. The Cabriolet should return around 44 mpg with emissions of 145g/km.

There’s also a new 2.0 litre diesel engine option that produces 194 HP with torque of 400Nm. Economy for this engine will be around 61 mpg.

Standard equipment for the new Mercedes C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet include a 10.25 inch media display, keyless start, 18 inch alloy wheels, high-performance headlamps, DAB radio and sports suspension.

The Mercedes C Class Cabriolet also adds an aircap and airscarf which work together to enable top-down driving around the year with the aircap forcing air to flow over the occupants and reducing wind noise. The airscarf blows warm air to the driver and front seat passenger’s neck.

As usual with Mercedes, there is a long list of options including a premium package which adds the 12.3 inch cockpit display, an intelligent light system, wireless charging, an improved sound system and ambient lighting.

There’s even a premium plus offering that adds a top end sound system, panoramic sunroof for the Coupe and 360° camera.

Another option to consider is the driver assistance package which features active lane keeping assist, cross traffic assist, blind spot assist along with pre-safe brake and pedestrian detection.

The new Mercedes C-Class Coupe will cost from £37,620 while the Cabriolet starts at £41,439.
