New Ford Mustang takes a bow

It’s already the world’s best-selling sports coupe and the new contract hire Ford Mustang will impress with a new engine and digital cockpit.

The styling has also been made edgier to help it stand out in the market.

The new convertible and coupe also include upgraded software and hardware, along with a new air induction system and dual throttle body design.

Ford Mustang car lease range

The Ford Mustang car lease range features a 5.0-litre V8 engine for better performance and response and it is mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox – and there’s the option of a six-speed manual gearbox.

The standard Performance Pack includes a limited-slip differential to boost traction, alloy wheels, Brembo brakes and drivers also get to enjoy an active exhaust system so drivers can adjust the engine not to suit the scenario.

The options list features active suspension monitors, called MagneRide, to dampen resistance to any road condition.

Cabin has been completely revamped

The first thing that drivers will notice in the latest Mustang is that the cabin has been completely revamped and instead of the double-brow upper dashboard, there’s now a glass-clad flowing open centre stack that is packed with lots of technology.

There’s a 12.4-inch digital instrument display which is easily customisable, plus there are drive mode clusters that can also be customised.

The main screen is 13.2-inches for the infotainment system, and this is angled towards the driver so that information and controls are easy to reach.

Ford has used copper and dark colours to create a stylish interior that makes this a comfortable vehicle to spend time in.

Cockpit is the most driver-centric

Ford says that the cockpit is the most driver-centric they have ever created and there’s a fresh interior with new grain leather for the seats.

The more expensive versions feature accent stitching on the steering wheel and stripes on the seat belts.

And since this is the seventh generation of the famous car, there are some design tweaks to help maintain the timeless look of the legendary car.

Safety features include speed sign recognition, lane centre assist, intelligent adaptive cruise control, reverse brake assist and evasive steering assist.

Drivers also get active pothole mitigation which will monitor the body, suspension and steering and then adjust the suspension as necessary.

There’s no doubt that the contract hire Ford Mustang will prove to be a popular car once again and the latest generation is certainly worth considering as a stylish and well-designed car to lease.
