Volkswagen ID.3 Neo Lease Deals

The Volkswagen ID.3 Neo is a five-seat electric family hatchback with a 383-litre boot and a WLTP range of up to 390 miles on the best version. This page explains the battery choices and the Life, Style and Style Launch Edition trims so you can pick the right one before you look at the deals.

The Volkswagen ID.3 Neo is an all-electric family hatchback: five seats, five doors, rear-wheel drive and a WLTP range of up to 390 miles on the longest-legged version. It's Volkswagen's electric answer to the traditional C-segment hatch.

It suits drivers moving out of a petrol or diesel family car who want something calm and familiar rather than experimental. At 4.27 metres long with a 383-litre boot, it's easy to park and big enough inside for four adults.

The choice is simple. One body style, one electric powertrain with a 52–84 kWh battery, and three trims: Life, Style and Style Launch Edition.

About the Volkswagen ID.3 Neo

The current ID.3 Neo is Volkswagen's electric family hatchback, sitting below the larger electric models in the range. It has been on sale in this form since 2026.

Reviewers consistently praise the cabin overhaul, and in particular the return of physical buttons and rotary controls after years of criticism of touch-sensitive switchgear. The driving experience draws the same verdict each time: quiet, comfortable, easy, not especially sporty.

Where road testers are less enthusiastic is luggage space. At 383 litres with the rear seats up and 1,336 litres folded, the boot is competitive rather than class-leading. Volkswagen covers the car for 3 years or 60,000 miles, with the battery warranted for 8 years or 100,000 miles and guaranteed to hold at least 70% of its capacity.

Why lease a Volkswagen ID.3 Neo?

Because the standard specification is unusually complete and the running costs are predictable. Every ID.3 Neo gets adaptive cruise control, built-in navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control and a rear-view camera.

Safety and assistance kit is standard across the range too: autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam, and front and rear parking sensors. Add LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, power-folding mirrors and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and there's very little you need to add.

Practically, it's a 4.27 m hatchback with a 2.77 m wheelbase, so rear legroom is better than the exterior suggests. The turning circle is 11.5 metres. New to electric? Our electric car guide covers the basics before you order.

Which ID.3 Neo powertrain is right for me?

There's one powertrain here, in several battery sizes. Every ID.3 Neo is fully electric, automatic and rear-wheel drive, so the real decision is how much battery you need for the driving you actually do.

Electric

Battery capacity runs from 52 kWh to 84 kWh, power from 168 bhp to 228 bhp, and WLTP range from 258 miles up to 390 miles. There's no engine, so you charge it: at home, 0-100% takes 5.5 hours at 11 kW on the best version.

On the road it's an automatic with 350 Nm of torque, 0-62 mph in 7.1 to 8.6 seconds depending on version, and efficiency of 4.6 to 5.0 miles per kWh. Rapid charging peaks at 183 kW on the top version, which covers 10-80% in 29 minutes. Our guide to charging an electric car explains the rest.

Which ID.3 Neo trim should I choose?

Three trims: Life, Style and Style Launch Edition. All share the same standard safety and infotainment kit, so you're choosing lighting, glass, wheels and comfort features rather than a different car.

The Life is currently available from £348.76 a month.

Style

Style adds LED headlights with separate LED daytime running lights and dynamic cornering lights, privacy glass for the rear side and rear windows, and interior ambient lighting with 30 colour options plus ID.Light. It also brings 19-inch "Wellington" alloys, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and start, and a heat pump as standard.

Options include a 360-degree camera, automatic parking assist and adaptive suspension. The Style is currently available from £397.18 a month. Against the Life, that is currently £48.42/mo more expensive.

Style Launch Edition

This is an edition of Style. It adds 19-inch Wellington black diamond turned alloys with all-season tyres and a panoramic glass roof, plus a head-up display, 360-degree camera, massaging and electrically adjustable front seats with memory, and automatic parking assist.

Volkswagen ID.3 Neo FAQs

Yes, for most small families. It's a five-seat hatchback with a 2.77 m wheelbase, so rear space is generous for a car 4.27 m long, and every version has autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist and parking sensors front and rear.

383 litres with the rear seats up, rising to 1,336 litres with them folded. That's enough for a buggy or a big weekly shop, though road testers note it's mid-pack for the class.

Between 258 and 390 miles on the WLTP test, depending on battery size. The 390-mile figure belongs to the largest 84 kWh battery, not the whole range, and real-world range on any EV falls in cold weather and at motorway speeds.

Three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. The battery has its own cover for 8 years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of capacity. Paintwork is guaranteed for 3 years and there's a 12-year anti-corrosion guarantee.

Every 24 months, with no mileage limit in practical terms. Electric cars have far fewer wearing parts than a combustion engine, but tyres and brake fluid still need attention, and a maintenance package can be added to your lease if you'd rather budget for it monthly.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time. Rentals move with term, mileage and initial rental, and the cheapest version isn't always the entry trim. Check the live ID.3 Neo deals below, or ask our team and we'll talk you through what's on offer.

The heat pump is standard on Style and Style Launch Edition and optional on Life; it helps efficiency in cold weather, which matters if you do winter motorway miles. The fixed panoramic glass roof is standard on Style Launch Edition and an option elsewhere. Factory options must be specified before the order goes in.
