MG MGS6 Lease Deals

The MG MGS6 is MG's electric family SUV, offered with a 77 kWh battery, rear- or all-wheel drive and up to 329 miles of WLTP range. This page explains the SE and Trophy choice, the practicality figures and what to check before ordering a lease.

The MG MGS6 is a five-seat electric family SUV, 4.71 m long, with a 674-litre boot and a 77 kWh battery. It's the sensible, space-first option in MG's electric line-up rather than the flashy one, and that's the appeal.

It suits families and company-car drivers who want one car to do the school run, the supermarket and the occasional 200-mile motorway slog without much drama. Reviewers consistently single out the cabin space and the step up in interior quality over MG's smaller models.

The choice here is simple: one SUV body, one electric powertrain with a single 77 kWh battery, and two trims - SE and Trophy - with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive available.

About the MG MGS6

The MGS6 is MG's larger electric SUV: five seats, five doors, 4.71 m long on a 2.84 m wheelbase, and a boot quoted at 674 litres with the rear seats up or 1,910 litres folded. The current MGS6 has been on sale in this form since 2025.

Road testers tend to agree on the character. It's comfortable and composed rather than sporting, the steering is light and predictable, and the physical climate and volume controls below the touchscreen get repeated praise. Criticism usually lands on wind noise at motorway speed and driver-assistance systems that can feel eager.

Backing it up: a 7-year / 80,000-mile manufacturer warranty, a separate 8-year / 100,000-mile battery warranty guaranteeing 70% of capacity, and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.

Why lease a MG MGS6?

Because the standard kit list is deep enough that you don't need to chase options, and leasing keeps you inside the warranty period for the whole contract. Every MGS6 gets adaptive cruise control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and start, built-in navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and dual-zone climate control.

Safety kit is standard across the range too: autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, active lane-change assist, traffic sign recognition, a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors. Euro NCAP awarded 5 stars, scoring 92% for adult occupant and 85% for child occupant protection.

On the practical side there are roof rails, privacy glass and braked towing of up to 1,500 kg (750 kg unbraked). Servicing falls every 12 months or 15,000 miles, and the spare is a tyre repair kit - worth knowing before a long holiday drive.

Which MGS6 powertrain is right for me?

There's one powertrain: fully electric, with a single 77 kWh battery. The decision you actually make is rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and that changes the power, the range and how easily it turns.

Electric

The 77 kWh battery (74.3 kWh usable) gives 241-356 bhp and a WLTP range of 301-329 miles depending on the version. It's automatic, and the best version charges at up to 144 kW for 10-80% in 38 minutes, taking around 12 hours from 10-100% on a 7 kW home charger. Efficiency is quoted at 3.4-3.7 miles/kWh.

0-62 mph ranges from 5.1 to 7.3 seconds and the turning circle from 11.1 to 12.4 m depending on the version, which you'll notice in a multi-storey. If you can charge at home, either works for most family mileage. Our electric car guide covers the charging basics if this is your first EV.

Which MGS6 trim should I choose?

Two trims, and the gap between them is comfort and parking tech rather than anything mechanical - both start from the same 241 bhp rear-drive version.

SE

SE rides on 19-inch "Meteor" alloy wheels with cloth upholstery, and includes full auto LED headlights with auto high beam and follow-me-home, satellite navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a leather-style multifunction steering wheel and a heated steering wheel. Air conditioning is included. Honestly, it wants for very little.

The SE is currently available from £405.08 a month.

Trophy

Trophy moves to 20-inch "Gulfstream" alloys and leather/suede upholstery, and adds a fixed panoramic glass roof with electric blind, a 50W ventilated wireless phone charger, a 360-degree parking camera with transparent chassis view, and front as well as rear parking sensors. Also added: head-up display, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, hands-free tailgate, ambient lighting and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. All-wheel drive is available on the MGS6 range.

The Trophy is currently available from £360.36 a month. Against the SE, that is currently £44.72/mo cheaper. Best value

Seven paint colours are offered across the range: Arctic white, Black pearl, Camden grey, Cosmic silver, Dynamic Red, Piccadilly blue and Stratford gold. Insurance groups run from 38 to 42 depending on the version, so it's worth getting a quote before you commit.

MG MGS6 FAQs

Yes, for families of up to five. It seats five, measures 4.71 m long on a 2.84 m wheelbase, and reviewers consistently praise rear legroom and headroom. Euro NCAP gave it 5 stars, with 85% for child occupant protection. There's no seven-seat version.

MG quotes 674 litres with the rear seats up and 1,910 litres with them folded. Roof load capacity is 75 kg if you add a box or bars. The car is 1.91 m wide, or 2.14 m across the mirrors, which is worth measuring against a narrow garage.

Official WLTP range is 301-329 miles depending on the version. Quoted efficiency is 3.4-3.7 miles/kWh. Expect less in winter, as with any electric car. Our guide to charging an electric car explains how home and public charging work.

It's rated to tow up to 1,500 kg braked and 750 kg unbraked. That's fine for a small caravan or a trailer, less so for a large twin-axle van. If towing matters, tell our team before you order so the tow bar is fitted at build rather than afterwards.

MG covers the car for 7 years or 80,000 miles, with the battery warranted for 8 years or 100,000 miles and guaranteed to retain 70% of its capacity. Paintwork is guaranteed for 3 years and anti-corrosion for 7. Servicing is every 12 months or 15,000 miles.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time - rentals move as terms, mileages and stock change, and the cheapest version on any given day isn't always the entry trim. The SE is currently from £405.08 a month. Check the live MGS6 deals below.
