Kia Sorento Lease Deals

A guide to leasing the Kia Sorento, the seven-seat SUV that sits at the practical end of Kia's range with diesel, self-charging hybrid and plug-in hybrid power. Covers what each of the six trims adds, what the powertrains mean day to day, and how to pick between them.

The Kia Sorento is a seven-seat SUV built around space rather than showmanship. At 4.82 metres long, with three rows that adults can genuinely use and a 7-year / 100,000-mile manufacturer warranty, it's aimed squarely at families who need the third row to work properly rather than exist on paper.

It sits at the big, practical end of Kia's range, above the brand's smaller crossovers and alongside the electric seven-seater in the line-up. Every version is automatic and all-wheel drive.

The choice is straightforward: one body style, three powertrains - diesel, self-charging hybrid and plug-in hybrid - and six trims, 2, Pure, 3, Evolve, 4 and Aspire.

About the Kia Sorento

The Sorento is Kia's full-size family SUV, and the current car is the fourth generation, on sale in this form since 2024. Seven seats are standard across the range.

Reviewers consistently praise the third row for taking adults rather than just children, the calm motorway ride and the sheer amount of standard equipment. The common criticism is that it isn't especially engaging to drive, and that the boot behind all seven seats is small at 175-179 litres depending on version - though folding the third row transforms it, with up to 1,996 litres available with both rear rows down.

Against that, the 7-year / 100,000-mile warranty and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating give it a solid, sensible footing that few rivals match.

Why lease a Kia Sorento?

Because the standard specification is unusually complete, so you rarely need to chase a high trim to get the kit a family actually uses. Every Sorento has adaptive cruise control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and start, built-in navigation and dual-zone climate control.

Safety kit is standard across the board too: autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. Euro NCAP awarded five stars, with 82% for adult occupant protection and 85% for child occupant protection.

Practically, roof rails come as standard, all versions are all-wheel drive, and servicing falls every 12 months or 10,000 miles - worth knowing when you're matching a contract term to your mileage.

Which Sorento powertrain is right for me?

Pick on towing and charging: the diesel tows the most, the hybrid needs no plug at all, and the plug-in hybrid rewards you only if you can charge it regularly. All three are automatic and all-wheel drive.

Diesel

The 2.2-litre diesel makes 190 bhp and 440 Nm through an eight-speed automatic, covers 0-62 mph in 9.7 seconds and returns 42.8-43.5 mpg on the WLTP test. It's the only version that tows a braked 2,500 kg, so caravan and horsebox owners should start here.

Hybrid (self-charging)

A 1.6-litre turbo petrol with a small 1.49-1.5 kWh battery, 212-235 bhp and a six-speed automatic. It never needs plugging in - the battery charges as you drive - and WLTP economy is 39.8-42.8 mpg. Braked towing runs from 1,110 kg to 2,000 kg depending on version.

Plug-in hybrid

The same 1.6-litre turbo with a 13.8 kWh battery, 248-283 bhp and the quickest 0-62 mph times in the range at 8.0-8.8 seconds. It charges at up to 7 kW, taking around 3.4 hours from 10-100% on the best version. If you can't plug in at home, choose one of the other two. Our electric and hybrid leasing guides go into the detail.

Which Sorento trim should I choose?

Six trims, and the jump that changes the car most is Pure to 3.

2

The entry Sorento gets 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, LED headlights, a 12.3-inch touchscreen navigation system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with voice control, part leather upholstery, an artificial leather steering wheel and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. The 2 is currently available from £509.50 a month.

Pure

Pure keeps the 17-inch alloys and part leather trim, adding a leather steering wheel and a reversing camera system. It's a light touch rather than a big step. The Pure is currently available from £510.59 a month. Against the 2, that is currently £1.09/mo more expensive.

3

The biggest change in the range. Over Pure you get 19-inch alloys, LED headlights with low beam assist, heated outer second-row seats, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, leather upholstery, a 360-degree camera, powered tailgate, electrically adjustable driver's seat, wireless phone charging, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, privacy glass and ambient lighting. The 3 is currently available from £565.02 a month. Against the Pure, that is currently £54.43/mo more expensive.

Evolve

Evolve builds on the 3 with a leather steering wheel and customisable ambient lighting - a trim about finish and atmosphere rather than new equipment. The Evolve is currently available from £552.32 a month. Against the 3, that is currently £12.70/mo cheaper. Best value

4

The 4 moves to 20-inch alloys and adds ventilated front seats, Remote Smart Park Assist, ambient lighting, a head-up display, an opening panoramic roof, electric seat memory and self-steering parking. It's the version for anyone who wants the full technology count. The 4 is currently available from £624.77 a month. Against the Evolve, that is currently £72.44/mo more expensive.

Aspire

Aspire sits on the 4's 20-inch alloys and leather interior, with a leather steering wheel and customisable ambient lighting for a slightly warmer cabin. The Aspire is currently available from £606.14 a month. Against the 4, that is currently £18.62/mo cheaper. Best value

Kia Sorento FAQs

Yes. Seven seats are standard, reviewers consistently rate the third row as usable by adults rather than children only, and Euro NCAP gave it five stars with 85% for child occupant protection. Heated front seats, dual-zone climate and a rear-view camera are standard on every version.

No. The self-charging hybrid has a 1.49-1.5 kWh battery that tops itself up as you drive, so there's nothing to plug in. Only the plug-in hybrid, with its 13.8 kWh battery, needs a charger to be worth having.

With all seven seats up it's 175-179 litres depending on version - enough for a few shopping bags, not a holiday. Fold both rear rows and you get 1,988-1,996 litres, which is where the Sorento earns its keep.

It can, but the powertrain matters. The diesel is rated at 2,500 kg braked, the hybrid at 1,110-2,000 kg and the plug-in hybrid at 1,010-1,700 kg depending on version. Check the figure for the exact version before you order.

Seven years or 100,000 miles from Kia, with an eight-year/100,000-mile battery warranty guaranteeing 70% of capacity on the electrified versions. There's also a six-year paintwork guarantee and a six-year anti-corrosion guarantee. Servicing is every 12 months or 10,000 miles.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time, and it isn't always the trim you'd expect. Rentals move as stock and terms change, so compare the current Sorento deals below, or call our team and we'll talk you through what's live.
