Škoda Kodiaq Lease Deals

The Škoda Kodiaq is Škoda's large family SUV, offered with 5 or 7 seats, a boot of up to 910 litres and a choice of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid power. This page explains the trims, the powertrains and how to choose between them before you look at the live lease deals.

The Škoda Kodiaq is a large five-door family SUV, sold in one body style with five or seven seats depending on the version you choose. It sits at the top of Škoda's SUV range and is built around space first: a boot of up to 910 litres with the rear seats up, and about 4.76 metres of length to park.

It suits families who want one car to cover the school run, the holiday load and the motorway miles, plus caravanners and anyone who tows, with braked towing of up to 2,500 kg on the right version.

The choice is straightforward. One body, three powertrains - Petrol, Diesel and Plug-in hybrid - and six trims, from SE up to the performance vRS.

About the Škoda Kodiaq

The Kodiaq is the practical, unflashy end of the large SUV class: a 4.76 m long, 1.86 m wide SUV with a 2.79 m wheelbase, five or seven seats, and a boot ranging from 340 to 910 litres with the seats up depending on version.

It arrived in 2016 and became Škoda's best-known family car; this is the second-generation version, on sale in this form since 2024.

Reviewers consistently praise the space, the sensible cabin controls and a ride tuned for comfort rather than corner speed, and it has won large-family-car awards more than once. The usual criticism is that the engines get vocal when worked hard. Every version carries a 3-year / 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.

Why lease a Škoda Kodiaq?

Because the kit you actually use every day is standard on every Kodiaq, whichever trim you pick. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, built-in navigation, a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and three-zone climate control are all included across the range.

So is a solid safety set: blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, a rear-view camera and front and rear parking sensors. Euro NCAP awarded five stars, with 89% for adult occupant protection and 83% for child occupant protection.

On practicality, the numbers do the talking - up to 910 litres of boot space with the rear seats up, up to 2,105 litres folded, and an 11.2 m turning circle that keeps a car this size manageable in town.

Which Kodiaq powertrain is right for me?

All three are automatic, so the decision is really about mileage, charging and whether you want all-wheel drive.

Petrol

The broadest choice: 148-261 bhp from 1.5 and 2.0-litre four-cylinder engines, a 7-speed automatic, and front- or all-wheel drive. WLTP economy runs from 33.8 to 47.9 mpg depending on version. Nothing to plug in, and the quickest version covers 0-62 mph in 6.4 seconds.

Diesel

The 2-litre diesel gives 148-190 bhp with 360-400 Nm of torque, a 7-speed automatic and front- or all-wheel drive. WLTP economy of 44.2-53.4 mpg and braked towing of 2,000-2,500 kg make it the one to look at if you do big motorway miles or tow regularly.

Plug-in hybrid

A 1.5-litre turbo petrol paired with a 25.7 kWh battery (19.7 kWh usable) for 201 bhp, a 6-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. It needs charging to make sense: 0-100% takes about 2.5 hours at 11 kW on the best version, or 10-80% in 26 minutes at 40 kW. It has a 745-litre boot.

Which Kodiaq trim should I choose?

Start with SE, which already covers the essentials, then decide whether you want bigger wheels, smarter trim or the driver-assistance extras.

SE

The entry trim, with 18-inch "Mazeno Silver" alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, LED headlights, roof rails and the 13-inch navigation touchscreen with wireless smartphone mirroring. Adaptive cruise control, a panoramic roof and a powered tailgate are available as options. The SE is currently available from £277.34 a month.

Edition X

Adds 19-inch "Halti" anthracite polished alloys, artificial leather upholstery, matrix LED headlights, privacy glass, keyless entry and start, an electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory, a powered tailgate and towbar preparation. The Edition X is currently available from £285.41 a month. Against the SE, that is currently £8.06/mo more expensive.

SE L

SE L is about the look rather than extra equipment, with 19-inch "Rapeto Silver" alloys and artificial leather upholstery. Its options list is generous: head-up display, 360-degree camera, massaging front seats, hands-free tailgate and self-steering parking. The SE L is currently available from £322.81 a month. Against the Edition X, that is currently £37.40/mo more expensive.

SportLine

The sporting look, on 20-inch "Rila Anthacite" alloys with leather and artificial leather trim, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and front sports seats. It also adds adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking and adaptive suspension. The SportLine is currently available from £331.68 a month. Against the SE L, that is currently £8.87/mo more expensive.

Laurin + Klement

The comfort-led flagship, in Plug-in hybrid form with 201 bhp. Over SE it brings 20-inch "Venus" alloys, ventilated massaging front seats, heated rear seats, matrix LED headlights, head-up display, 360-degree camera, keyless entry and start and park assist. The Laurin + Klement is currently available from £495.59 a month.

Then there's the performance Kodiaq.

vRS

The quick one: 261 bhp Petrol, all-wheel drive, and the quickest Kodiaq in the range. Over SportLine it adds 20-inch "Elias Black" polished alloys, part leather upholstery, a hands-free tailgate and sports suspension. The vRS is currently available from £591.70 a month. Against the SportLine, that is currently £260.02/mo more expensive.

Škoda Kodiaq FAQs

Yes. It's offered with five or seven seats, three-zone climate control is standard, and Euro NCAP gave it five stars with 83% for child occupant protection. Reviewers consistently single out the rear head and leg room and the comfort-biased ride.

Between 340 and 910 litres with the rear seats up, depending on the version and whether the third row is fitted and in use. Fold the rear seats and you get 1,945 to 2,105 litres. The Plug-in hybrid offers 745 litres with its seats up.

A full charge takes around 2.5 hours at 11 kW on the best version, and it also accepts 40 kW rapid charging, 10-80% in 26 minutes. Our electric and hybrid guides cover home charging.

Braked towing capacity runs from 1,800 kg up to 2,500 kg depending on the version, with 750 kg unbraked. The Diesel is rated at 2,000-2,500 kg braked and the Plug-in hybrid at 1,800 kg. Check the exact figure on the version you order, and note that a retractable towbar is a factory option on some trims.

Three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, plus a two-year paintwork guarantee and a 12-year anti-corrosion guarantee. The Plug-in hybrid battery is covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 73% of capacity. Most lease terms sit within that cover, but a longer term may run past it.

On a like-for-like trim, the Plug-in hybrid is often the cheaper monthly rental. A rental reflects the gap between the car's cost and its forecast value at the end of the term, plus interest, so a version that holds its value better can cost less per month even with a higher list price. That can change whenever pricing is refreshed.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time. The cheapest Kodiaq isn't always the entry trim, because rentals move with term, mileage, initial rental and stock. The live deals below show today's position, and our team can check others for you.
