The Škoda Kamiq is a compact five-seat petrol SUV with a 400-litre boot, a 5-star Euro NCAP rating and four trims from SE Edition to Monte Carlo Edition. This page explains what the Kamiq is good at and how to choose the right version before you look at the live lease deals below.
The Škoda Kamiq is a compact five-seat SUV that puts space and everyday ease ahead of drama. It's the smallest SUV Škoda sells, sitting below the Karoq and Kodiaq, and it's aimed squarely at drivers who want a raised, easy-to-park family car without moving up a size.
Every Kamiq is a five-door SUV with a petrol engine and front-wheel drive, so there's no battery to charge and nothing complicated to learn. Power runs from 94 to 148 bhp, with manual or automatic gearboxes depending on the version.
That leaves you two decisions: how much power you want, and which of the four trims - SE Edition, Design Edition, SE L Edition or Monte Carlo Edition - suits you. The rest of this page works through both.

The Kamiq is Škoda's small SUV: 4.24 m long, five seats, a 400-litre boot with the rear seats up and 1,395 litres with them folded. It has been on sale in its current form since 2024 and comes with a 3-year / 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty.
Reviewers consistently describe it as one of the roomier cars in its class, with more rear legroom than several better-known rivals, and they praise the comfortable ride and light, accurate steering. The criticism is equally consistent: it's plain to look at, and there's no hybrid version. A 10.1 m turning circle and a 1.79 m width make it an easy thing to place on a narrow street.
Because the Kamiq covers the basics properly on every version. Built-in navigation, a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors and dual-zone climate control are standard right across the range.
So is the safety kit: autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist and traffic sign recognition, backed by a 5-star Euro NCAP rating with 96% for adult occupant protection. Roof rails are fitted throughout, braked towing runs from 1,000 kg up to 1,250 kg depending on the version, and the fuel tank holds 53 litres. There's a tyre repair kit rather than a spare wheel, which is worth knowing before you order.
There's one answer here, which keeps things simple: petrol only, front-wheel drive only. No plug, no charging, no hybrid battery. What changes between versions is how much power you get and whether you drive a manual or an automatic.
Petrol Kamiqs run from 94 to 148 bhp, using 1.0 or 1.5-litre engines with three or four cylinders, and 5, 6 or 7-speed gearboxes. WLTP economy is 48.7 to 52.3 mpg, and 0-62 mph takes from 8.3 seconds on the strongest version to 11.0 seconds on the entry engine. Insurance groups span 12 to 21.

Four trims, and the jump from one to the next is mostly about convenience kit rather than anything mechanical. Our guide to choosing your spec, mileage and term is worth a read if you're torn between two.
