Mercedes-Benz CLA Lease Deals

A guide to leasing the current Mercedes-Benz CLA, covering the Coupe, Saloon and Estate bodies and the petrol, diesel and electric powertrains. It explains what each trim adds, from Sport up to the AMG S, so you can pick the right version.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA is the compact, low-slung car at the bottom of the Mercedes-Benz range, sold as a Coupe, a Saloon and an Estate. It's aimed at drivers who want a premium badge and a sleek shape without stepping up to a C-Class or an SUV.

The current CLA, on sale in this form since 2026, is about 4.69 m long, seats five and carries between 405 and 505 litres of luggage depending on which version you choose. Every version is automatic.

Your choice comes down to three things: body style, powertrain - Petrol, Diesel or Electric - and trim, which runs from Sport through the AMG Line family to the performance AMG models. The rest of this page works through each in turn, and you can see what's currently available in the live deals below.

About the Mercedes-Benz CLA

The CLA is Mercedes-Benz's style-led compact, a four-door car with a coupe roofline and, in Estate form, a shooting-brake shape that reviewers rate as one of the better-looking small estates on sale. It sits below the C-Class in the line-up.

Road testers consistently praise its refinement, its long motorway legs and the electric version's range, which reaches up to 483 miles (WLTP) on the best version. The common criticism is space: the sloping roof costs rear headroom, and the screen-heavy dashboard divides opinion.

Safety is a strong point. The CLA holds a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, with 94% for adult occupant protection and 93% for vulnerable road users. It comes with a 3-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty.

CLA body styles

Three shapes, one car underneath. The Estate is the practical one, the Saloon the conventional four-door, and the Coupe the sleekest of the three. All three seat five and share the same cabin and technology.

Estate

The most useful body: 455 to 505 litres with the rear seats up and 1,290 to 1,370 litres folded.

Saloon

A four-door with a 405-litre boot and a 2.79 m wheelbase, so rear legroom is decent even if headroom isn't. Braked towing runs up to 2,000 kg, and it's among the longest CLAs at 4.72 to 4.73 m.

Coupe

Also a four-door, but shorter and lower - down to 1.40 m tall - with a 445 to 460-litre boot. It gives up a little towing capability, at 1,500 to 1,800 kg braked, for the tidiest proportions in the range.

Why lease a Mercedes-Benz CLA?

Because the standard specification is generous from the entry trim up, and leasing keeps you in a car whose technology moves on quickly. Every CLA gets heated front seats, built-in navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and adaptive suspension.

Driver assistance is thorough across the range: autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, automatic high beam and LED headlights. That's the kit behind the 5-star Euro NCAP result.

Practically, it's a five-seater with a boot of 405 to 505 litres depending on body and powertrain, a turning circle of 11.1 to 11.6 m and a tyre repair kit rather than a spare. Servicing falls every 12 to 24 months or 12,500 to 18,650 miles - worth knowing before you set your contract mileage.

Which CLA powertrain is right for me?

Petrol suits mixed, unpredictable mileage; Diesel suits high motorway mileage; Electric suits anyone who can charge at home or at work. All three are automatic, so the decision is really about how and where you drive.

Petrol

A 1.5 or 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 134 to 415 bhp, an 8-speed gearbox and front- or all-wheel drive. WLTP economy spans 31.0 to 56.5 mpg and CO2 114 to 207 g/km, so the entry versions are the sensible ones and the AMGs are the indulgent ones. No plugging in required.

Diesel

One choice: a 2.0-litre, 187 bhp four-cylinder driving the front wheels through the 8-speed automatic, with 400 Nm of torque and 52.3 to 55.4 mpg WLTP. If you cover long motorway miles and want to stop for fuel rarely, this is the CLA to look at.

Electric

Battery 58.0 to 85.0 kWh, 221 to 349 bhp, rear- or all-wheel drive, and WLTP range from 299 up to 483 miles. The quickest versions charge at up to 320 kW, taking 10-80% in 22 minutes, or 6.5 hours for a full charge at 11 kW at home. Our electric car guide covers the basics.

Mercedes-Benz CLA FAQs

It works for a family of four or five, with a 5-star Euro NCAP rating including 89% for child occupant protection. The catch is the roofline: rear headroom is tight, and reviewers note the Estate is the better choice if adults sit in the back regularly.

It depends on the body. The Saloon has 405 litres with the seats up, the Coupe 445 to 460 litres, and the Estate 455 to 505 litres, rising to 1,290 to 1,370 litres with the rear seats folded.

WLTP range runs from 299 miles up to 483 miles on the best version, with efficiency of 4.3 to 5.0 miles per kWh. At its fastest the CLA charges at up to 320 kW, giving 10-80% in 22 minutes; a full charge at 11 kW at home takes 6.5 hours.

Yes, within limits that vary by version. Braked towing runs from 1,500 kg up to 2,400 kg on the strongest Estate versions, with 750 kg unbraked. A retractable towbar is a factory option on most everyday trims - tell us before you order, as it can't be added later.

Three years with unlimited mileage, which comfortably covers a typical lease term. Electric versions also carry an 8-year or 100,000-mile battery warranty guaranteeing 70% of capacity, and there's an anti-corrosion guarantee of 6 to 30 years depending on version.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time - body, powertrain, term and mileage all move the rental, and offers change constantly. The Sport is currently available from £492.90 a month. Check the current CLA deals for today's position, or read our guide to choosing your car.
