Leapmotor C10 Lease Deals

The Leapmotor C10 is a 4.74m five-seat family SUV sold in one generously equipped trim, with a choice of a 69.9 kWh electric powertrain or a 28.4 kWh range-extender plug-in hybrid. This page explains what the C10 offers, who it suits and how to pick between the two powertrains before you look at the live lease deals below.

The Leapmotor C10 is a five-seat family SUV, 4.74 metres long, sold as either a fully electric car or a plug-in hybrid that uses a petrol engine purely as a generator. It's aimed squarely at families who want a lot of equipment without a long options list.

Leapmotor keeps the buying decision unusually simple. There's one body style, one trim, called C10, and two powertrains, so the only real question is whether you plug in exclusively or keep a petrol tank as backup.

That simplicity is the point. Everything the car offers is fitted as standard, which means the version you choose comes down to how and where you drive rather than which boxes you tick.

About the Leapmotor C10

The C10 is Leapmotor's family SUV: five seats, five doors, a boot of 370 to 400 litres with the seats up depending on version, and a 4-year manufacturer warranty behind it. Euro NCAP awarded it 5 stars.

Reviewers consistently describe it as roomy, comfortable at town speeds and far better finished inside than the class it competes in would suggest, with rear legroom that borders on limousine territory. The common criticisms are equally consistent: the driver-assistance systems can be intrusive until you learn how to quieten them, and the ride can fidget on poor surfaces.

Nobody calls it sporty, and it doesn't try to be. The current C10 is a car chosen with the head - space, kit and low running costs - rather than for how it feels down a back road.

Why lease a Leapmotor C10?

Because the standard specification is unusually complete, a C10 lease avoids the usual trade-offs over options. Every version gets a fixed panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a powered tailgate, wireless phone charging, built-in navigation and a heat pump.

Safety kit is standard across the board too: adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist and automatic high beam. Rear parking sensors, keyless entry and start, dual-zone climate and LED headlights are all included.

Practicality is decent rather than class-leading - 1,375 to 1,410 litres with the rear seats folded, and a tyre repair kit rather than a spare wheel. What most customers ask us before ordering is whether they can live with the touchscreen-led cabin, so it's worth a showroom sit before you commit.

Which C10 powertrain is right for me?

Two choices: an electric C10, or a plug-in hybrid range-extender that carries its own petrol generator. Both are automatic and rear-wheel drive.

Plug-in hybrid (range-extender)

A 28.4 kWh battery gives up to 90 miles of electric running (WLTP), after which the petrol engine works as a generator rather than driving the wheels. With 212 bhp, 0-62 mph in 8.5 seconds and a 50-litre tank, it suits drivers who can't always charge but want electric driving manners.

Electric

The 69.9 kWh battery gives up to 261 miles (WLTP) and 3.3 miles per kWh, with 215 bhp and 0-62 mph in 7.5 seconds. Charging peaks at 84 kW, so 30-80% takes around 30 minutes at best. Best suited to drivers with home or workplace charging. Our electric car guide covers the basics.

Leapmotor C10 FAQs

Yes. It's a five-seat SUV measuring 4.74m long with a 2.83m wheelbase, and reviewers consistently single out the rear legroom as exceptional for the class. Euro NCAP gave it 5 stars, scoring 89% for adult occupant and 85% for child occupant protection.

It doesn't have to be charged to keep going, because the petrol engine generates electricity as you drive. But to see the benefit you should plug in: the 28.4 kWh battery gives up to 90 miles of electric range, and a 6.6 kW home charge takes about three hours from 30-80% on the best version.

Between 370 and 400 litres with the rear seats up, depending on version - the plug-in hybrid has 400 litres, the electric 370. Fold the rear seats and you get 1,375 to 1,410 litres. It's adequate rather than generous for the car's size, which road testers do note.

The electric C10 peaks at 84 kW on a rapid charger, taking around 30 minutes from 30-80% on the best version. On an 11 kW AC supply, 0-100% takes about 6.4 hours. If most of your charging happens overnight at home that's fine; if you rely on public rapids, factor in the wait. Our charging guide explains the options.

Leapmotor provides a 4-year manufacturer warranty, plus an 8-year or 100,000-mile battery warranty guaranteeing 70% of capacity. Servicing is due every 12 months or 6,000 miles, which is a short interval by current standards - worth planning for if you cover high mileage.

It depends entirely on what's available when you look. With one trim and two powertrains, either the electric or the plug-in hybrid can lead on a given day, and rentals also move with term, mileage and initial rental. The live deals below show where things stand right now.
