Vauxhall Frontera Lease Deals

The Vauxhall Frontera is a 4.39m family SUV offered with a 143bhp 1.2-litre turbo petrol or a 111bhp electric powertrain with up to 248 miles of WLTP range. This page explains who it suits and how to choose between GS and Ultimate trim before you view live lease deals.

The Vauxhall Frontera is a five-door family SUV built around space and simplicity rather than speed. At 4.39 metres long, with five or seven seats depending on the version, it sits in Vauxhall's SUV line-up as the practical, no-fuss option.

It suits families and commuters who want a high driving position, a big boot and an easy automatic, without paying for performance they'll never use. Reviewers consistently describe it as comfortable and roomy, and consistently point out that the cabin materials feel built to a budget.

The choice is straightforward: one body style, two powertrains - a 1.2-litre turbo petrol or the electric Frontera - and two trims, GS and Ultimate.

About the Vauxhall Frontera

The Frontera is Vauxhall's family SUV answer for people who care more about interior space than badge appeal. The name goes back to a rugged 1990s 4x4, but this one is a front-wheel-drive road car aimed squarely at families.

The numbers do most of the talking. Boot space runs from 370 to 460 litres with the rear seats up depending on the version, rising to between 1,400 and 1,600 litres folded, and every Frontera is covered by a 3-year/60,000-mile manufacturer warranty.

Road testers generally praise the ride comfort around town, the amount of head and legroom in the back, and the fact that Vauxhall kept physical climate controls. The criticism is consistent too: hard cabin plastics and some wind noise at motorway speeds.

Why lease a Vauxhall Frontera?

Because the standard kit list covers what most families actually use, and a lease keeps you inside the manufacturer's 3-year/60,000-mile warranty for a typical contract. You choose the version, we arrange the funding, and you hand it back at the end.

Every Frontera comes with a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB digital radio, voice control, climate control on both trims, and an electric parking brake. Safety and assistance kit is standard across the range too: autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, automatic high beam, LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors.

Practicality is the real argument. Seven seats are available on selected versions, braked towing runs to 1,250 kg on the strongest version, and the 2.67m wheelbase gives rear passengers more room than the car's 4.39m length suggests. If you're weighing up mileage, term and spec, our guide to choosing your car is a sensible starting point.

Which Frontera powertrain is right for me?

Pick the petrol if you tow, cover long or unpredictable miles, or want the option of a third row; pick the electric Frontera if you can charge at home or work and most of your driving is local. Both are automatic and front-wheel drive.

1.2-litre turbo petrol

A 143bhp three-cylinder with 230Nm, a six-speed automatic and 0-62mph in 9.0 seconds. WLTP economy is 53.3mpg with CO2 of 119-120 g/km. Insurance sits in group 20-21. No charging to think about, and braked towing of up to 1,250 kg.

Electric

A 111bhp motor with a 44-54 kWh battery and WLTP range of up to 248 miles, so the version you choose matters. Rapid charging covers 20-80% in 26 minutes at 100 kW on the best version, or 2.9 hours at 11 kW on an 11 kW home or workplace charger. Insurance group 14-16.

Which Frontera trim should I choose?

There are two: GS covers the essentials most drivers ask for, and Ultimate adds comfort kit that matters most in winter. Both ride on 17-inch alloy wheels and both come with cloth upholstery.

GS

GS brings 17-inch Groot diamond cut alloy wheels, Intelli LED headlights, the Multimedia Pure Panel Navigation system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a leather effect steering wheel. It also has keyless entry and start, wireless phone charging, front parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, climate control and power-folding door mirrors.

The GS is currently available from £302.99 a month.

Ultimate

Ultimate adds an Eco Leather steering wheel with cruise speed limiter controls, a heated steering wheel and rear privacy glass, plus heated front seats, roof rails and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. It's the one to have if you park outside overnight and want the cabin warm quickly.

The Ultimate is currently available from £309.80 a month. Against the GS, that is currently £6.82/mo more expensive.

Vauxhall Frontera FAQs

Yes, that's what it's designed for. A 2.67m wheelbase gives generous rear head and legroom for the car's 4.39m length, boot space runs from 370 to 460 litres seats up, and autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors are standard on every version.

Some versions do. The Frontera is offered with five or seven seats depending on the version you choose, and the boot figure moves with it - 370 to 460 litres with the rear seats up. If a third row is essential, tell us before you order and we'll confirm which builds offer it.

Up to 248 miles on the WLTP test, on the longest-range version. Battery capacity spans 44 to 54 kWh, so range depends on which version you pick. Efficiency is quoted at 3.4 to 4.4 miles per kWh, and real-world range will fall in cold weather and at motorway speeds.

On the best version, 20-80% takes 26 minutes at a 100 kW rapid charger, which is the fastest rate it accepts. On an 11 kW home or workplace unit, the same 20-80% top-up takes about 2.9 hours. Most drivers charge overnight and rarely need the rapid network.

Yes, up to 1,250 kg braked on the strongest version, with 1,050 kg the lower figure elsewhere in the range. That's enough for a small caravan or a single-axle trailer. Check the towing limit for the exact version you're ordering, and remember a towbar is a factory or dealer-fit item.

Three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, which covers a typical lease term for most drivers. The electric version's battery has separate cover of 8 years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of capacity. Paintwork is guaranteed for 6 years and anti-corrosion cover runs to 12 years.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time. Rentals move with term, mileage, initial rental and stock, so the cheapest Frontera this week isn't always the cheapest next week. The live deals below show what's currently on offer across both trims and both powertrains.
