The current Genesis line-up we price runs to four models: three SUVs and one saloon. Four of them are offered with electric power, one SUV also comes as a petrol or a diesel, and every model carries the same 5-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty.

Choosing is mostly about size and power source. Start with the electric GV60 if you want the most compact Genesis, step up to the GV70 if you tow or still want an engine, and take the G80 if you'd rather have a saloon.

About Genesis

Genesis is the premium arm of Hyundai, set up to offer an alternative to the established German luxury brands. Its cars are known for comfort, hushed refinement and heavy standard specification rather than sharp handling.

It's a small, focused range. All four models we price are available with electric power, and one SUV is also offered with petrol or diesel, so the brand leans clearly towards battery power without having gone fully electric across the board.

Ownership terms are a real part of the appeal. Every Genesis we price carries a 5-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty, which is unusual consistency across a premium line-up, and the range spans compact-ish SUV to full-size saloon: from the GV60 up to the G80 at 5.14 m long.

The Genesis range we lease

Four models, split across two body styles: three SUVs and one saloon. Each has its own page with full trim and version detail, and each is a five-seater. Here's what each one is for.

SUV

The Genesis GV60 is the compact electric SUV of the range and the easiest to live with in town. It seats five, offers a 432-litre boot, measures 4.55 m, tows up to 1,600 kg braked and holds a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, across three trims. Deals start from £531.22 a month.

The Genesis GV60 Magma is the performance-flavoured take on the same electric SUV, offered in a single trim. At 4.64 m long with a 670-litre boot and five seats, it's the choice if you want the GV60 formula with more presence.

The Genesis GV70 is the family SUV and the only model here with a choice of petrol, diesel or electric power. Five seats, a boot of 503 to 542 litres depending on version, 4.72 m long, 5-star Euro NCAP, five trims, and braked towing up to 2,500 kg - the most in the range. Deals start from £583.64 a month.

Saloon

The Genesis G80 is the executive electric saloon, and at 5.14 m it's the longest Genesis we price. Five seats, a 334-litre boot and two trims, aimed at drivers who want rear-seat space and motorway calm rather than SUV height. Deals start from £721.01 a month.

Electric and hybrid Genesis models

Every Genesis model we price is available with electric power, and three of them - the GV60, the GV60 Magma and the G80 - are electric only. There's no plug-in hybrid in the range as we price it today.

If you want an electric SUV, the GV60 is the compact option at 4.55 m with a 432-litre boot, while the GV60 Magma stretches to 4.64 m with a 670-litre boot. The GV70 is the flexible one: electric if you're ready, petrol or diesel if you aren't quite.

Which Genesis should you choose?

Work backwards from what you need. Size, towing and whether you want an engine will settle it faster than trim names, because all four models seat five and share the same warranty.

For the smallest and easiest to park, the GV60 is the shortest here at 4.55 m, with a 432-litre boot. For family duty, the GV70 gives you 503 to 542 litres of boot depending on version and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.

Towing a caravan or trailer? The GV70 tows up to 2,500 kg braked, the most of any Genesis we price; the GV60 manages up to 1,600 kg braked.

If you want electric, you have a choice of three: GV60, GV60 Magma and G80. The Magma is the one to look at if you want a bigger boot at 670 litres in an electric SUV.
