View dealThe Genesis GV70 is a five-seat premium SUV that sits in the middle of the Genesis range, above the smaller models and below the brand's full-size cars. It's 4.72 metres long, all-wheel drive, and electric only.
It suits someone who wants a quiet, well-finished family SUV without the badge everyone else on the street has. Reviewers consistently describe it as hushed, comfortable and very nicely built inside, rather than sharp to drive.
The choice is simple: one body style, one electric powertrain, and three trims - Pure, Dynamic and Luxury. A small number of previous-shape cars may still be around while stocks last, so check the individual deal.

The GV70 is Genesis's mid-size luxury SUV: five seats, five doors, a 503-litre boot with the rear seats up and 1,678 litres with them folded. It's backed by a five-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty.
Road testers tend to agree on the same things. The cabin materials and fit are a match for far better-known rivals, motorway refinement is excellent, and the car is happiest wafting rather than being hurried down a B-road. Low-speed ride on the larger wheels draws the most criticism.
It's a genuine alternative for anyone tired of the usual German three, with a WLTP electric range of up to 298 miles and a five-star Euro NCAP rating behind it.
Because the GV70 arrives heavily equipped as standard, which matters more on a lease than on a purchase: you get the kit for the term without paying for a long options list up front. Every version is all-wheel drive.
Standard across the range: adaptive cruise control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, a powered tailgate, keyless entry and start, wireless phone charging, built-in navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, three-zone climate control, adaptive suspension, roof rails and a heat pump, which helps protect range in cold weather.
On safety, Euro NCAP awarded five stars, with 89% for adult occupant protection and 87% for safety assist. Autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera are fitted to every car.
There's only one, so the decision is really whether an electric car fits your week. The GV70 is battery-electric, automatic and all-wheel drive, with no petrol or diesel option in the current range.
An 84 kWh battery, 483 bhp and up to 298 miles of WLTP range, with 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds. It needs charging, so it works best with a home or workplace charger. At a 350 kW public charger the best version covers 10-80% in 19 minutes; the best version takes 7.6 hours from 10-100% on an 11 kW home charge. Our electric car guide covers the basics if this is your first EV.

All three trims share the same 483 bhp all-wheel-drive powertrain and leather upholstery, so you're choosing on wheels, cameras and cabin comfort rather than performance. Pure is the entry point, Dynamic adds driver aids and visibility kit, Luxury adds the glass roof and seat comfort.
Pure runs 19-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, satellite navigation with live services, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a heated leather steering wheel. The smaller wheel is worth noting: testers find the ride settles better on the less aggressive rim. The Pure is currently available from £634.03 a month.
Dynamic moves to 20-inch alloy wheels and adds augmented reality navigation, a surround view monitor, front, rear and side parking sensors, and a head-up display. Automatic parking assist and active lane-change assist come too, and an opening panoramic roof is available as an option. Deals for Dynamic come and go, so ask us what's available.
Luxury builds on Dynamic with the sunroof pack, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats, keeping the 20-inch wheels. Massaging front seats and electric seat memory can be specified as factory options. Deals for Luxury come and go - our team can check current availability for you.
The Comfort Pack is an add-on rather than a trim, and what's included with it varies by version, so confirm it on the deal you're looking at. You can see the wider Genesis range if you want to compare models first.
If the GV70 isn't quite right, two others cover related ground. The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is the option for anyone who needs more seats and more cabin space, while the Škoda Peaq is a plainer, more practical take on the electric SUV.
