About the Genesis GV60

The current GV60 is Genesis's electric SUV, on sale in this form since 2025. It seats five, carries 432 litres in the boot and comes with a 5-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty.

Road testers consistently praise two things: interior quality, which they put on a level with established premium rivals, and refinement, because it stays hushed at motorway speeds. The criticisms are consistent too - rear space is good rather than limousine-like, and the sloping roofline trims visibility.

Range depends on which version you choose, reaching up to 348 miles on the WLTP test.

Why lease a Genesis GV60?

Because the GV60 arrives generously equipped whichever version you take, which means you're not obliged to spend your way up the range to get the kit you actually use every day. Safety scores are strong, and a lease keeps you inside the warranty period.

Every GV60 has adaptive cruise control, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, a powered tailgate, keyless entry and start, wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control and a heat pump - useful in a British winter, because it makes the heating less costly in range terms.

Which GV60 powertrain is right for me?

There's only one: a fully electric drivetrain with an 84 kWh battery, an automatic gearbox and no petrol option anywhere in the range. What changes between versions is power, driven wheels and how far a charge takes you.

Electric

The 84 kWh battery gives 226-483 bhp and up to 348 miles of WLTP range, with rear- or all-wheel drive available. Charging at up to 240 kW takes the best version from 10-80% in 18 minutes; a home wallbox handles 10-100% in 7.6 hours at 11 kW. Automatic, and it needs plugging in.

Which GV60 trim should I choose?

Pure is the rear-drive option, Sport adds all-wheel drive, and Performance is the fast one. Equipment differences are smaller than the power differences, so start with how you drive.

Pure

Pure is the 226 bhp rear-wheel-drive version, riding on 19-inch alloy wheels with artificial leather upholstery, satellite navigation, the 27-inch panoramic OLED infotainment and cluster display, and a leather steering wheel. A fixed panoramic glass roof and roof rails are optional. The Pure is currently available from £581.78 a month.

Sport

Sport steps up to 314 bhp and all-wheel drive, and swaps in 20-inch alloy wheels. Adaptive suspension joins the panoramic glass roof and roof rails on the options list. If you drive on rural or unpredictable roads year-round, the extra traction is the reason to choose it. The Sport is currently available from £612.98 a month. Against the Pure, that is currently £31.20/mo more expensive.

Then there's the performance GV60.

Performance

Performance produces 483 bhp through all four wheels, with 21-inch alloys, a Nappa leather pack and an electrically adjustable front passenger seat. It also brings a head-up display, 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, seat memory and adaptive suspension. The Performance is currently available from £678.19 a month. Against the Sport, that is currently £65.21/mo more expensive.

Comfort and Innovation packs are offered as add-ons rather than trims, with the Comfort Pack adding the electrically adjustable front passenger seat where it isn't already fitted. Nine paint colours are offered across the range, including Ceres blue, Savile silver, Tromso green and Vik black.
