DS NO8 Lease Deals

The DS NO8 is DS's five-seat electric SUV, offered with 74–97.2 kWh batteries, 256–370 bhp and front- or all-wheel drive. This guide explains the Pallas, Etoile and Jules Verne trims and who each one suits.

The DS NO8 is a five-seat electric SUV with a fastback roofline, built around comfort and long-distance range rather than outright pace. It's the flagship of DS's range and, in this form, the brand's clearest attempt yet at a genuinely different premium car.

It suits drivers who cover motorway miles and want a calm, quiet cabin, plus company car drivers looking for something other than the usual German badge. Reviewers consistently describe it as serene and unusual, and they like the fact it doesn't look like everything else in the car park.

The choice is simple: one SUV body, one electric powertrain family with a choice of battery size and driven wheels, and three trims - Pallas, Etoile and Jules Verne.

About the DS NO8

The NO8 is DS's largest and most expensive model, a 4.82 m five-seater sold only as an electric SUV. It carries the French luxury idea into an EV: distinctive design, a heavily decorated cabin and a driving experience tuned for calm.

Road testers are near-unanimous on two things. It's genuinely quiet and relaxing at a cruise, and the styling either wins you over completely or doesn't. Opinions on ride comfort are more mixed, with some finding it soft rather than truly cushioned on poor surfaces.

Practically, you get a boot of 581 to 621 litres with the rear seats up depending on version, a hands-free tailgate, and a 3-year / 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty. Euro NCAP awarded the NO8 four stars, with 76% for adult occupant protection.

Why lease a DS NO8?

Leasing suits a car like this because you take the specification you want for a fixed monthly rental and hand it back at the end of the term. Every NO8 is well equipped, so even the entry trim wants for very little.

Standard across the range: adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, wireless phone charging, built-in navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a heat pump, front and rear parking sensors, LED headlights and ambient lighting.

The battery is covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of capacity - useful reassurance even on a shorter lease. If you're new to EVs, our electric car guide covers charging and jargon before you order.

Which NO8 powertrain is right for me?

There's one powertrain family - fully electric - with different batteries, power outputs and driven wheels across the range. All versions are automatic, and the choice comes down to how far you drive and whether you want all-wheel drive.

Electric

Battery capacity runs from 74 kWh to 97.2 kWh, with 256 to 370 bhp and front- or all-wheel drive. WLTP range reaches up to 447 miles on the best version, and rapid charging at 160 kW takes the battery from 20–80% in 26 minutes at best.

So this is a car you charge, ideally at home overnight - 20–80% takes 7.8 hours on a 7.5 kW home supply on the best version. Efficiency of 4.4 to 4.8 miles per kWh is strong, which is why the motorway range holds up better than many EVs of this size.

Braked towing is up to 1,400 kg depending on version, with a fixed towbar available as an option, and a tyre repair kit takes the place of a spare wheel.

Which NO8 trim should I choose?

Three trims, and the differences are mostly about cabin materials, cameras and roof. Every one gets the core comfort and safety kit, so pick on the details rather than worrying about missing essentials.

Pallas

Pallas covers the basics properly: the DS Iris system, a heated steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging with ventilation, ADML PROXIMITY and the DS Extended head-up display, on 20-inch "Lyrae" alloy wheels with cloth upholstery. It starts at 256 bhp and front-wheel drive, and adds a rear-view camera, power-folding mirrors and a powered tailgate.

Options include a 360-degree camera, a fixed panoramic glass roof, heated rear seats and dual-zone climate control. The Pallas is currently available from £498.18 a month.

Etoile

Etoile adds 360 Vision over the Pallas - a 360-degree camera view that makes tight car parks far less stressful - along with lane-keep assist and Alcantara upholstery, again on 20-inch "Lyrae" alloys. Ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and the panoramic roof are available as options.

The Etoile is currently available from £521.42 a month. Against the Pallas, that is currently £23.24/mo more expensive.

Jules Verne

Jules Verne adds a laminated panoramic glass roof with acoustic and thermal protection, Nappa leather and Alcantara upholstery and electric heated front seats over the Etoile. It also brings 21-inch "Cassiopeia" alloys, adaptive suspension and a 276 bhp front-wheel-drive starting point.

That adaptive set-up is the one reviewers talk about most, since it reads the road ahead and adjusts the dampers. The Jules Verne is currently available from £756.64 a month. Against the Etoile, that is currently £235.21/mo more expensive.

DS NO8 FAQs

For a family of four or five it works well. It's a five-seater with a boot of 581 to 621 litres depending on version, and a hands-free tailgate as standard. Bear in mind the sloping roofline: reviewers note rear headroom is tighter than the car's size suggests, so try it with your passengers.

Up to 447 miles on the WLTP test, on the best version. That's the long-range figure, not the whole range: batteries run from 74 kWh to 97.2 kWh, and efficiency is quoted at 4.4 to 4.8 miles per kWh. Real-world range will be lower, especially in winter and at motorway speeds.

The fastest charging rate is 160 kW, which takes the best version from 20–80% in 26 minutes. At home on a 7.5 kW supply, the same 20–80% top-up takes 7.8 hours on that version, so overnight charging is the sensible routine. Our guide to charging an electric car explains the practicalities.

Yes, within limits. Braked towing capacity is 1,200 to 1,400 kg depending on the version, with 750 kg unbraked. A fixed towbar is a factory option across the trims, so it has to be specified at order stage - it isn't something to add later on a lease car without our agreement.

Three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, plus a battery warranty of 8 years or 100,000 miles guaranteeing 70% of capacity. On a typical lease term the car stays inside the manufacturer warranty, though check the mileage limit against the annual mileage you choose.

Euro NCAP gave the NO8 four stars, scoring 76% for adult occupant protection, 85% for child occupants, 80% for vulnerable road users and 65% for safety assist. Adaptive cruise control and front and rear parking sensors are standard; lane-keep assist is standard from Etoile and an option on Pallas.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time, and it moves as pricing is refreshed. The entry Pallas is currently from £498.18 a month, but a higher trim isn't always dearer. Compare the live DS NO8 deals below, or ask our team and we'll talk you through what's on.
