Spec revealed for the new Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Edition

It’s the eagerly awaited first model in the contract hire Hyundai Ioniq 6 range and the carmaker has revealed the specification and pricing of its First Edition.

It has been built on the firm’s new electric-global modular platform and is packed with technology, safety features and a spacious interior.

The battery for the First Edition is up to 320 miles and drivers have a car with a low drag coefficient thanks to the low-sitting front end, wheel gap reducers and front active air flaps.

The Hyundai is also using sustainable materials to boost the car as an eco-friendly driving experience.

The specification and prices have been revealed for the new contract hire Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Edition.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Edition car lease model

There’s a limited number of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Edition car lease model and the model shows some design cues that we should expect next year, particularly in the interior design and some exterior tweaks.

The new model features 20-inch wheels and a choice of four body colours with the new Ioniq 6 being the first car to feature its new ’H’ design emblem – which will be in black aluminium for the First Edition.

There are two trim levels, Ultimate and Premium, and more details about these will be revealed over the coming weeks.

77.4kWh battery and all-wheel drive

Power for the First Edition comes from a 77.4kWh battery and there’s all-wheel drive to enjoy 325 PS with torque of 605Nm.

There’s also ultra-fast charging compatibility and a one-year subscription to a pan-European charging service.

There’s also a lot of sustainability built into the new car with an interior trim with sustainable colours and materials.

The seats use recycled PET fabric and eco-processed leather, along with regenerated nylon yarn to boost the sustainability quota.

Other features for the First Edition include a sunroof that opens, lights in the roof, metal pedals and heated rear and front seats.

Drivers and the front seat passenger get a premium relaxation seat, safety features include highway driving assist 2, parking collision-avoidance assist, a blind spot monitoring system and surround view monitoring.

Prices start at £54,995 with the First Edition featuring exclusive floor mats and leather combination seats, along with a black headlining and interior.

The exterior design includes gloss black mouldings to the rear, side and front along with gloss black mirror caps to help create a sleek look.
