Spec revealed for the all-new Volvo EX30

Volvo has unveiled its all-new, electric small SUV, the contract hire EX30 which will hit showrooms early next year.

Despite its compact size, this urban-friendly SUV boasts a spacious interior and ample storage, making it an exciting addition to Volvo’s electrification strategy and growth plans.

The EX30 is built on a new pure-EV platform, it aims to have a smaller carbon footprint than any previous Volvo model.

This eco-conscious approach extends beyond zero tailpipe emissions and includes using recycled materials in its construction and a focus on reducing lifecycle carbon emissions throughout the supply chain, manufacturing processes and end-of-life disposal.

The Volvo EX30 car lease

UK customers will have three powertrain options to choose from for the Volvo EX30 car lease: a Single Motor version offering 272hp with a 51kWh battery; a Single Motor Extended Range with a 69kWh battery and 272hp and a Twin Motor Performance with a 69kWh battery and 428hp.

The EX30 has a range of 298 miles, and charging the battery will be a breeze, as it takes only 26 minutes to charge from 10 to 80%.

Also, the Twin Motor Performance model will be the fastest-accelerating Volvo, taking 3.6 seconds to reach 62mph.

Range of interior designs – called ‘rooms’

To complement the eco-friendly design, drivers can choose from five exterior paintwork colours and a range of interior designs – called ‘rooms’.

Each room has its own unique ambience and character, created using various textures, colours and finishes that incorporate sustainable and recycled materials.

The Volvo EX30 offers two initial equipment trims: Plus and Ultra.

Catering to modern customers’ desires for seamless connectivity, digital integration, intuitive functionality, safety, comfort, and convenience, these models deliver a top-notch driving experience.

A more affordable Core trim will be introduced later.

Featuring built-in Google functions

The Plus versions come equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google functionality and wireless smartphone integration.

The model also an immersive Harman Kardon audio system, complete with a soundbar that spans the dashboard.

The dual-zone climate control system incorporates air-purification, heated front seats and steering wheel.

Additional features include a rear camera, rear and front parking sensors, adaptive cruise control with Pilot Assist, an 11kW onboard charger, and a three-year/60,000-mile care package covering standard servicing and wear-and-tear consumables.

EX30 Ultra models

The EX30 Ultra models build upon the Plus specifications, with a 360-degree camera and Volvo’s Park Pilot Assist automatic parking system.

Other upgrades include 20-inch alloy wheels, a fixed panoramic sunroof, dark-tinted rear windows, power-adjustable front seats, and a 22kW onboard charger.

Safety remains a priority for Volvo, and the EX30 includes Safe Space Technology, Cross Traffic Alert that will apply automatic braking if necessary.
