Volkswagen T-Roc SUV Lease Deals

A practical guide to leasing the Volkswagen T-Roc SUV, covering its 1.5-litre petrol engine, the Life, Match, Style and R-Line trims, and the equipment fitted to every version. Written to help you pick the right specification before you look at the live deals below.

The Volkswagen T-Roc SUV is a five-seat family crossover with a 475-litre boot and a 4.37 m body, sitting between Volkswagen's smaller cars and its larger SUVs. It's the sensible middle ground: raised seating and proper luggage space, in a car that still slots into a normal parking bay.

It suits young families, commuters and people downsizing from something bigger who still want four adults to travel in comfort. If you want a car that just works every day, without much fuss, this is the sort of thing you end up looking at.

The choice here is refreshingly short. One body style, one petrol engine offered in two power outputs, and four trims: Life, Match, Style and R-Line.

About the Volkswagen T-Roc SUV

This is the second-generation T-Roc, on sale in this form since 2026. A small number of previous-shape cars may still be around while stocks last, so check the version on any individual deal before you order.

Reviewers consistently praise the current car for refinement, ride comfort and a cabin that feels a clear step up from the first T-Roc, with softer materials and sensible physical controls. The common criticism is that it's competent rather than exciting to drive, and that rival brands hand you more standard kit.

Practically, it carries five people, swallows 475 litres with the rear seats up, and comes with a 3-year or 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty. Euro NCAP awarded it five stars, with 91% for adult occupant protection.

T-Roc SUV or the rest of the range?

There's no decision to make here. The T-Roc is sold in one shape only, the five-door SUV, so choosing the body style is done for you and the real choices are engine output, trim and options.

That one body measures 4.37 m long, 1.83 m wide and 1.57 m tall, on a 2.63 m wheelbase, with a 475-litre boot and a turning circle of 11.1 m. Braked towing runs from 1,300 kg, up to 1,500 kg on the strongest versions, with 730 kg unbraked.

If you'd rather see everything badged T-Roc in one place, including anything left from the previous shape, the full Volkswagen T-Roc range is listed separately. The deals shown on this page are for the SUV only.

Why lease a Volkswagen T-Roc SUV?

Because the standard specification is strong enough that you don't have to chase a high trim to get a well-equipped car, and because leasing keeps you in a current model with a manufacturer warranty behind it for the whole contract.

Every T-Roc SUV, whichever trim you pick, has adaptive cruise control, wireless phone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, climate control, LED headlights, roof rails, rain-sensing wipers and an electric parking brake.

The driver-assistance kit is thorough too: blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, active lane-change assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam and autonomous emergency braking are all fitted as standard. Servicing falls due every 12 months or 9,300 miles.

Which T-Roc SUV powertrain is right for me?

One engine covers the whole SUV range, so the only real question is how much power you want. There's nothing to plug in and nothing to charge.

Petrol: 1.5-litre turbo, 114-148 bhp

A four-cylinder turbo petrol with a 7-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive, producing 114-148 bhp and 220-250 Nm. It covers 0-62 mph in 8.9 to 10.6 seconds depending on output, returns 47.1-50.4 mpg on the WLTP test and emits 127-130 g/km of CO2.

The 114 bhp version is fine for town and commuting duty; the 148 bhp one makes more sense if you regularly carry a full car or tow. Insurance falls in groups 14 to 20, and the fuel tank holds 50 litres.

Which T-Roc SUV trim should I choose?

Four trims, and because so much safety and infotainment kit is standard across all of them, the differences come down to comfort features, wheels and looks rather than anything fundamental.

Life

The entry version, starting at 114 bhp, on 17-inch "Lima" alloy wheels with cloth upholstery. It has a digital instrument cluster, air conditioning, paddle shifters, front and rear parking sensors, dynamic road sign display and a front-facing camera for distance control. Heated seats, navigation, keyless entry and a panoramic roof are available as options.

Match

Match starts at 148 bhp and moves onto 18-inch "Torino" silver alloys. It adds heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel with paddle shift, built-in navigation, privacy glass, voice control and a rear-view camera. Keyless entry, three-zone climate control, ambient lighting and self-steering parking remain options.

Style

Style is the comfort-focused choice, from 114 bhp on 18-inch "Torino" alloys. It brings massaging front seats, keyless locking and starting with safelock, self-steering parking, three-zone climate control, interior ambient lighting with 30 colour options, leatherette door and side trim inserts, and spoken voice commands for phone and navigation. Matrix LED headlights are optional.

R-Line

R-Line is mostly about the look and the way it sits, starting at 148 bhp on 18-inch "Coventry" alloys with rear privacy glass. It adds sports suspension and front sports seats. Adaptive suspension, matrix LED headlights, massaging front seats and an opening panoramic roof are all available as options.

A Tech Pack can be added to a trim as an option rather than being a trim in its own right. If you're weighing up specification against monthly cost, our guide to choosing your car, mileage and term is a sensible read before you commit, and what's available changes, so check the current T-Roc SUV deals.

Similar cars to consider

If you're cross-shopping, the Nissan Qashqai and Hyundai Tucson cover similar family ground, the Škoda Kodiaq is a size up, and the BMW X1 is the premium-badged alternative. More from the brand sits on our Volkswagen leasing page.

Volkswagen T-Roc SUV FAQs

For a small family, yes. It seats five, has a 475-litre boot with the rear seats up, and scored five stars at Euro NCAP with 87% for child occupant protection. Reviewers note rear space improved notably over the first-generation car.

475 litres with the rear seats upright, on every version. Roof load is limited to 75 kg if you're using the standard roof rails, and the car carries a tyre repair kit rather than a spare wheel, which is worth knowing before a long trip.

Yes, within limits. Braked towing is 1,300 kg to 1,500 kg depending on the version, with 730 kg unbraked. That covers a small caravan or a trailer, but check the figure on the exact version you're ordering, because it isn't the same across the range.

Yes. Every T-Roc SUV on this page uses a 7-speed automatic gearbox driving the front wheels, with paddle shifters fitted from Life upwards. There's no manual option and no four-wheel-drive version.

Volkswagen covers the car for 3 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, with a 3-year paintwork guarantee and a 12-year anti-corrosion guarantee. Servicing is due every 12 months or 9,300 miles. On a typical lease term the warranty runs alongside most or all of your contract.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time, and it moves. A higher trim isn't automatically dearer per month than a lower one, so don't assume Life is the cheapest line. The honest answer is to look at the live T-Roc SUV deals below and compare like-for-like terms, or ask our team.
