SEAT Arona Lease Deals

The SEAT Arona is SEAT's smallest SUV: a five-seat, petrol-only compact crossover with a 400-litre boot, front-wheel drive and a choice of manual or automatic gearboxes. This page explains who it suits and how to choose between the SE, SE Technology, FR First Edition, FR and FR Sport trims.

The SEAT Arona is a small five-seat SUV with a raised driving position, a 400-litre boot and petrol power only. At 4.16 metres long it slots in below the rest of SEAT's SUV line-up, and it's aimed at drivers who want a bit more height and space than a supermini without the bulk.

Choosing one is refreshingly simple. There's a single SUV body, a petrol range running from 94 to 148 bhp with manual or automatic gearboxes and front-wheel drive, and five trims: SE, SE Technology, FR First Edition, FR and FR Sport.

What follows is how those versions differ in practice, and which one tends to make sense for which sort of driver. Live Arona lease deals sit below this copy and change regularly.

About the SEAT Arona

The Arona is SEAT's smallest SUV, taller than a supermini, with five doors, five seats and a 400-litre boot with the rear seats up. This is the current Arona.

Reviewers consistently praise it for being tidy to drive, with steering that's light in town but not vague, and for a cabin that still uses physical switches for climate and key functions. The common criticisms are firmer ride quality on the larger wheels and rear seats that are adequate rather than generous.

Its dimensions explain a lot of the appeal: 1.78 m wide, 1.53 m tall and a 10.6 m turning circle, so it's easy to place in a multi-storey but sits high enough to give you a decent view down the road.

Why lease a SEAT Arona?

Because the standard kit list is strong and the running costs are predictable. Every Arona, whatever the trim, gets a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights, roof rails, DAB radio, front and rear parking sensors, and an auto-dimming mirror.

The driver-assistance package is standard across the range too: autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers. Adaptive cruise control is a factory option on every trim.

On practicality, the 400-litre boot, 40-litre fuel tank and braked towing of 1,000 to 1,200 kg depending on version cover most family jobs. Note the spare is a tyre repair kit, not a wheel - worth knowing before you order.

Which Arona powertrain is right for me?

There's one answer here: petrol. The Arona range is petrol-only and front-wheel drive, so there's nothing to plug in and no charging to plan around - you simply fill it up like any other small SUV.

Petrol

Power runs from 94 to 148 bhp, with 175 to 250 Nm of torque, from 1.0-litre three-cylinder and 1.5-litre four-cylinder engines. Gearboxes are five, six or seven-speed, manual or automatic. WLTP economy is 48.7 to 53.3 mpg and CO2 120 to 132 g/km, with 0-62 mph in 8.3 to 11.1 seconds depending on version.

In plain terms: the lower-powered versions are happiest around town and on shorter commutes, while the stronger engines make motorway work easier. Insurance groups span 11 to 20. If you're weighing fuel types, our guide to choosing petrol, diesel or electric is a sensible read.

Which Arona trim should I choose?

Pick on kit, not on badge: SE and SE Technology cover the essentials, the FR trims add comfort features and sportier wheels, and FR Sport is about appearance rather than extra equipment. All five use cloth upholstery.

SE

The entry trim, starting at 94 bhp, with 16-inch Design alloy wheels in brilliant silver, air conditioning, automatic high beam, an outside temperature display and electrically adjustable, heated, folding door mirrors. Adaptive cruise control is available as an option. The SE is currently available from £259.88 a month.

SE Technology

Adds the 9.2-inch colour touchscreen with navigation, voice control and a USB-C port, plus a rear-view camera and interior ambient lighting. Wheels stay 16-inch Design alloys. Keyless entry and start joins adaptive cruise control on the options list. The SE Technology is currently available from £268.44 a month. Against the SE, that is currently £8.56/mo more expensive.

FR First Edition

The FR First Edition trim, starting at 114 bhp, on 17-inch Dynamic alloys in brilliant silver. Over SE Technology it brings heated front seats, KESSY keyless entry and go, a wireless phone charger and dual-zone climate control. The FR First Edition is currently available from £284.47 a month. Against the SE Technology, that is currently £16.03/mo more expensive.

FR

Same 114 bhp starting point, with 17-inch Dynamic machined alloys in black and silver, plus Park Assist self-steering parking and automatic high beam. Adaptive cruise control remains an option. The FR is currently available from £280.54 a month. Against the FR First Edition, that is currently £3.94/mo cheaper. Best value

FR Sport

The FR Sport takes the FR and fits 18-inch Performance machined alloy wheels in black. It's a looks choice rather than a kit upgrade, and road testers note that bigger wheels firm up the ride a little. The FR Sport is currently available from £306.13 a month. Against the FR, that is currently £25.60/mo more expensive.

SEAT Arona FAQs

For a small family, yes. It has five seats, five doors and a 400-litre boot, and every version comes with autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist and front and rear parking sensors. Reviewers rate rear space as adequate rather than roomy, so sit in the back before you commit.

400 litres with the rear seats up, across the range. That's enough for a large weekly shop, a buggy, or a couple of suitcases. Bear in mind the car carries a tyre repair kit rather than a spare wheel, so the load floor isn't eaten into by a spare.

It can tow up to 1,200 kg braked on the strongest versions, with the range spanning 1,000 to 1,200 kg braked and 590 to 630 kg unbraked. Check the figure for the exact version you're ordering, because it varies by engine and gearbox, and factor a towbar in at order stage.

No. The Arona range is petrol only, so there's no battery to charge and no plug-in option. CO2 emissions of 120 to 132 g/km mean company car drivers chasing low Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax - the tax you pay on a company car - will usually do better in an electric model.

Both are offered on petrol versions, with five, six or seven-speed gearboxes depending on engine. Automatics suit stop-start commuting; the manuals are praised by road testers for a light, precise shift. Availability differs by trim and engine, so check the individual deal before ordering - our guide on choosing your car helps.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time. A higher trim isn't automatically dearer per month, and the ranking between versions shifts whenever pricing is refreshed. The live table of Arona deals below shows today's rentals across every trim, term and mileage we can currently offer.
