The bi-turbo petrol and diesel units deliver torque of 710 Nm with a power output of 612 hp. This helps the S-Class to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.3 seconds. Fuel economy is around 42 mpg with emissions of 158g/km. A plug-in hybrid capable of travelling 30 miles on battery power will also be introduced.

There are also touch sensitive controls placed in the steering wheel and respond to hand swiping motions so drivers can control the entire infotainment offering without taking their hands from the steering wheel.
