Geely Starray Lease Deals

The Geely Starray is a five-seat plug-in hybrid family SUV offered in Pro, Max and Ultra trims, with a 528-litre boot and up to 84 miles of WLTP electric range. This page explains what the car is like, what each trim gives you, and how to choose before you look at the live lease deals below.

The Geely Starray is a family SUV sold in the UK in one body style, with one plug-in hybrid powertrain and a choice of three trims: Pro, Max and Ultra. It suits drivers who want short journeys done on electricity without giving up a petrol engine for longer ones.

It's a five-seater at 4.74 metres long, with a 528-litre boot behind the rear seats and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Every version drives the front wheels through an automatic gearbox, so the decision you're really making here is one of equipment, not mechanics.

The current Starray has been on sale in this form since 2026. Deals move around constantly, so the choices below are about the car itself; the numbers sit in the live deals further down the page.

About the Geely Starray

The Starray is Geely's family-sized plug-in hybrid SUV, and it's built around space and kit rather than driving thrills. Reviewers consistently praise the room inside, the calm, soft-riding manner around town and the amount of standard equipment; the common criticisms are a noisy petrol engine when you push hard, and driver-assistance systems that intervene more than most people want.

Geely itself is one of China's largest car makers and the group behind Volvo, Polestar and Lotus, which is worth knowing if the badge is unfamiliar. Practical reassurance comes from the battery warranty of 8 years or 125,000 miles, which guarantees 70% of capacity, plus a 12-year anti-corrosion guarantee.

Why lease a Geely Starray?

Because the standard specification is unusually complete, which makes the Starray an easy car to order without agonising over options. Every trim gets adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, heated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry and start, built-in navigation and Apple CarPlay.

Safety kit is standard across the board too: autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, active lane-change assist, traffic sign recognition and automatic high beam. Euro NCAP awarded 5 stars, with 90% for adult occupant protection and 87% for child occupant protection.

On practicality, it's 1.91 m wide on a 2.76 m wheelbase, with 528 litres of boot space seats up and 2,065 litres folded. Servicing is every 12 months, and the spare is a tyre repair kit rather than a wheel - worth knowing before you order.

Which Starray powertrain is right for me?

There's only one, so the powertrain decision is simply whether a plug-in hybrid fits your life. If you can charge at home or at work, it should; if you can't, a self-charging hybrid or a petrol SUV will suit you better.

Plug-in hybrid

A 1.5-litre petrol engine works with an 18.4 kWh battery for 259 bhp, 0-62 mph in 8.0 seconds and up to 84 miles of WLTP electric range. It's automatic and front-wheel drive. Charge it regularly and most local driving happens on electricity; leave it flat and it simply runs as a hybrid.

Which Starray trim should I choose?

Pro covers the essentials properly, Max is the comfort and technology upgrade, and Ultra is the one to pick if you want the range-topping version of the car.

Pro

Pro runs 18-inch alloy wheels with Giti tyres and artificial leather upholstery, plus remote-controlled window and sunroof operation, a leatherette instrument panel, heated front seats and keyless entry and start. For a lot of families that's the job done.

The Pro is currently available from £303.00 a month.

Max

Max moves to 19-inch low-drag alloy wheels with Goodyear tyres and adds a panoramic power sunroof with powered sunshade, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats and a 16-speaker FLYME premium audio system with two headrest speakers. A head-up display, powered tailgate, wireless phone charging, electric seat memory, front parking sensors, ambient lighting and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror come with it.

The Max is currently available from £326.32 a month. Against the Pro, that is currently £23.32/mo more expensive.

Ultra

Ultra keeps the 19-inch alloys and artificial leather of the Max, and is about presentation rather than extra kit on the equipment list. Choose it if you want the top version of the range in the metal.

The Ultra is currently available from £344.50 a month. Against the Max, that is currently £18.18/mo more expensive.

Geely Starray FAQs

Yes, on the measures families care about. It's a five-seat, five-door SUV with 528 litres of boot space, a 2.76 m wheelbase for rear legroom, and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating including 87% for child occupant protection. Reviewers regularly single out the space inside.

It will drive without being plugged in, but you'll miss the point of it. The 18.4 kWh battery gives up to 84 miles of WLTP electric range, and the car only delivers its low running costs if you charge it regularly. Our electric and hybrid guides explain how plug-in hybrids behave day to day.

On a 6.6 kW home or workplace charger, the best version goes from 25% to 100% in about three hours - an overnight job with plenty to spare. Fastest charging is 30-60 kW, and the best version can take 30-80% in 16 minutes at 60 kW. Our guide to charging at home and on the road covers the practicalities.

The drive battery is covered for 8 years or 125,000 miles and guaranteed to retain 70% of its capacity. Paintwork carries a 3-year guarantee and there's a 12-year anti-corrosion guarantee. Servicing is due every 12 months.

The Starray produces 259 bhp and 262 Nm, covers 0-62 mph in 8.0 seconds and tops out at 106 mph. Insurance falls in groups 30 to 32 depending on version. Brisk enough for family duty, though road testers describe the delivery as relaxed rather than sharp.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time, and it changes as pricing is refreshed. The entry Pro trim is currently from £303.00 a month. Check the current Starray deals below for today's position across all three trims.
