Ford Capri Lease Deals

The current Ford Capri is an all-electric five-seat SUV with a coupe-style roofline, a boot of up to 572 litres and a WLTP range of up to 389 miles. This page explains the powertrain choice and the differences between Style, Premium, Select and Collection.

The Ford Capri is a five-seat electric SUV with a coupe-style roofline, sold in one body shape and one powertrain family: battery-electric, automatic, rear- or all-wheel drive. It's aimed squarely at families who want something with a bit more shape to it than the usual electric crossover.

It sits alongside Ford's other electric SUVs rather than replacing anything, and at 4.63 metres long it's a proper family car - five doors, five seats, and a boot of 567 to 572 litres depending on the version you pick.

The choice is simple enough: two everyday trims, Style and Premium, then Select and Collection with more power. Battery sizes run from 58 kWh to 79 kWh, with a WLTP range of up to 389 miles on the best version.

About the Ford Capri

The current Capri, on sale in this form since 2024, is a practical electric family SUV wearing a famous old name. Reviewers are broadly agreed: judge it on what it is rather than what it's called, and it stacks up well.

Road testers consistently praise the boot - up to 572 litres with the seats up, which is generous for a car with a sloping roofline - along with the cabin storage, the quiet motorway manners and the amount of standard equipment. The common criticism is the steering and handling, which are competent rather than playful, and rear three-quarter visibility, a trait of most coupe-styled SUVs.

Warranty cover runs to three years or 60,000 miles, with the battery separately covered for eight years or 100,000 miles and guaranteed to hold at least 70% of its capacity.

Why lease a Ford Capri?

Because the Capri arrives well equipped whichever version you choose, and leasing lets you run a long-range electric SUV on a fixed monthly rental without carrying the risk of what it's worth in three years' time.

Every Capri has adaptive cruise control, built-in navigation, a digital instrument cluster, keyless entry and start, dual-zone climate control, privacy glass, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. Traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam and power-folding mirrors are standard too.

Practically, it seats five, tows up to 1,000 kg braked (750 kg unbraked) and carries 75 kg on the roof. A retractable towbar is a factory option across the range, as is a heat pump - worth a conversation before you order if you do a lot of winter motorway miles.

Which Capri powertrain is right for me?

There's only one: electric. Every Capri is battery-powered with an automatic transmission, so the real decisions are battery size, how far you need to go between charges and whether you want rear- or all-wheel drive.

Electric

Batteries run from 58 kWh to 79 kWh, power from 187 bhp to 335 bhp, and WLTP range up to 389 miles. Efficiency is quoted at 3.8 to 4.5 miles per kWh. It needs charging, obviously - a home wallbox suits it best, and our electric car guide covers the basics if this is your first EV.

On the go, the best version takes 27 minutes to go from 10-80% on a 185 kW rapid charger. At home on an 11 kW supply, the same 10-80% top-up takes 4.6 hours on the best version. Rear-wheel drive suits most drivers; all-wheel drive is there if you want the extra traction, with 0-62 mph times ranging from 5.3 to 8.0 seconds across the range.

Which Capri trim should I choose?

Style and Premium are the everyday choices, and Select and Collection bring the step up in power. All four share the same body, the same five seats and the same core safety and navigation kit, so it comes down to wheels, trim materials and comfort features.

Style

The entry version is 187 bhp and rear-wheel drive, on 19-inch Aero alloy wheels in absolute black with bright machined faces, with cloth upholstery, LED headlights, front sports seats, navigation, a rear-view camera and front and rear parking sensors. A heat pump and a retractable towbar are options.

The Style is currently available from £384.34 a month.

Premium

Premium moves to 20-inch Aero alloys and artificial leather, and adds a fixed panoramic glass roof, matrix LED headlights, heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, massaging and electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory, hands-free tailgate, wireless phone charging, and ambient lighting.

The Premium is currently available from £415.51 a month. Against the Style, that is currently £31.18/mo more expensive.

Select

Now the more powerful versions. Select starts at 282 bhp with rear-wheel drive, keeping artificial leather upholstery but going back to 19-inch Aero alloys in absolute black with bright machined faces, with LED headlights and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. Heat pump and retractable towbar remain options.

The Select is currently available from £445.28 a month. Against the Premium, that is currently £29.77/mo more expensive.

Collection

Collection is the 282 bhp car dressed up: 21-inch Exclusive alloy wheels and LED ambient lighting over Select, so it's more about appearance than extra equipment. The same heat pump and retractable towbar options apply.

The Collection is currently available from £501.53 a month. Against the Select, that is currently £56.24/mo more expensive.

Ford Capri FAQs

Yes. It has five seats, five doors and a boot of 567 to 572 litres depending on version, rising to 1,505-1,510 litres with the rear seats folded. Reviewers rate the cabin storage highly.

Up to 389 miles on the WLTP test, on the best version in the range; the shortest-range version is quoted at 286 miles. Quoted efficiency is 3.8 to 4.5 miles per kWh. Cold weather, motorway speeds and big wheels all reduce real-world range.

On the best version, a 10-80% rapid charge takes 27 minutes at 185 kW. At home on an 11 kW supply, the same 10-80% top-up takes 4.6 hours on the best version. Most drivers will charge overnight; our guide to charging an electric car explains the practicalities.

It can tow up to 1,000 kg braked and 750 kg unbraked, which covers a small caravan, a trailer or a couple of bikes on a rack. A retractable towbar is available as a factory option on every trim, so specify it when you order.

Three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, with the high-voltage battery covered separately for eight years or 100,000 miles and guaranteed to retain at least 70% of its capacity. Servicing is due every 24 months.

That depends entirely on what's available at the time, and it moves as pricing is refreshed. The entry Style trim is currently from £384.34 a month. Check the current rentals in the deals below, or ask our team.
