Dacia Duster Lease Deals

The Dacia Duster is a compact five-seat SUV built around simplicity and space, offered with a 1.2-litre petrol manual or a self-charging hybrid automatic. Three trims - Expression, Journey and Extreme - cover everything from basic family transport to heated-seat comfort.

The Dacia Duster is a five-seat family SUV that does the important things well and leaves out the rest. At 4.34 metres long it slots into a tight parking space, yet the petrol version carries 474 litres of luggage behind the rear seats.

It suits drivers who want an SUV shape, a raised driving position and honest practicality without paying for badge value or gadgets they'd never use. Families, dog owners, caravanners and anyone who treats a car as a tool tend to get on with it.

Within Dacia's range the Duster is the rugged mid-size SUV, and the choice is refreshingly short: one body style, a 1.2-litre petrol manual or a self-charging hybrid automatic, and three trims - Expression, Journey and Extreme.

About the Dacia Duster

The Duster is Dacia's best-known car and the current, third-generation version has been on sale in this form since 2024. It keeps the square-shouldered looks and go-anywhere image of its predecessors, but with a more modern cabin and considerably more standard safety kit.

Reviewers consistently praise it for space, sensible physical controls and value, while noting it isn't the quietest or most cushioned small SUV at motorway speeds. Nobody buys one expecting driving thrills, and it doesn't pretend otherwise.

Five seats, a boot of up to 474 litres depending on version, braked towing of up to 1,500 kg and a three-year or 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty tell you most of what you need to know about its character.

Why lease a Dacia Duster?

Because the Duster's appeal is running cost and usefulness rather than resale prestige, and leasing puts you in a brand-new one under warranty for the whole contract. Every version comes better equipped than the Duster's reputation suggests.

Standard across the range: a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB digital radio, air conditioning, LED headlights, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and an electric parking brake. On the safety side you get autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors on every trim.

It's worth being straight about one thing: the Duster holds a three-star Euro NCAP rating, with 70% for adult occupants and 84% for child occupants. Strong on child protection, held back mainly by its driver-assistance score.

Which Duster powertrain is right for me?

There are two: a 1.2-litre petrol with a manual gearbox, and a self-charging hybrid with an automatic. Neither needs plugging in, so the decision comes down to how you drive and whether you want to change gear yourself.

Petrol

The 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol makes 138 bhp, drives the front wheels through a six-speed manual and reaches 62 mph in 9.8 seconds. It returns 52.3 mpg on the official WLTP test, carries 474 litres in the boot - the best in the range - and tows up to 1,500 kg braked, matching the hybrid's maximum.

Hybrid (self-charging)

The hybrid produces 148 to 154 bhp, is automatic, and can be had with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. It charges its own battery as you drive and brake, so there's no cable and no charging routine, and official economy runs from 50.4 to 61.4 mpg. Best suited to town and stop-start driving.

Which Duster trim should I choose?

Three trims, and the differences are mostly about parking aids, convenience and cabin finish rather than performance.

Expression

Expression rides on 17-inch diamond cut Tergan alloy wheels and includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a synthetic leather steering wheel, a rear camera, rear parking sensors, cloth upholstery and roof rails.

The Expression is currently available from £277.57 a month.

Journey

Journey adds 18-inch diamond cut Tagasan alloys, a multi view camera, front as well as rear parking sensors, wireless phone charging and keyless entry and start. It also brings built-in navigation, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high beam, privacy glass and front fog lights.

The Journey is currently available from £297.46 a month. Against the Expression, that is currently £19.88/mo more expensive.

Extreme

Extreme moves to 18-inch semi diamond cut Tagasan alloys and swaps cloth for synthetic leather TEP upholstery, with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. If you do school runs on frosty mornings, that last pair earns its keep.

The Extreme is currently available from £300.92 a month. Against the Journey, that is currently £3.47/mo more expensive.

Dacia Duster FAQs

Yes, with one caveat. It has five seats, a boot of up to 474 litres depending on version and 84% for child occupant protection from Euro NCAP, but its overall rating is three stars, held back largely by a 57% safety assist score.

No. The hybrid is self-charging, so it tops up its own battery as you drive and brake. You fill it with petrol and nothing else. Official economy is 50.4 to 61.4 mpg with CO2 of 130 g/km.

It depends which version you pick. The petrol carries 474 litres behind the rear seats and the hybrid 349 litres, because the battery takes up some underfloor space. Fold the rear seats and capacity rises to between 1,545 and 1,609 litres.

It can. Braked towing capacity runs from 750 kg to 1,500 kg depending on version, with the petrol rated at the full 1,500 kg and hybrids varying. Check the individual deal before you order if a specific caravan or trailer weight matters.

Both are available, but the choice is tied to the engine. The 1.2-litre petrol is a six-speed manual driving the front wheels; the self-charging hybrid is automatic and offered with front- or all-wheel drive. If you want two pedals, you want the hybrid.

Three years or 60,000 miles from the manufacturer, whichever comes first. On a typical lease term that covers most or all of the contract, which is one reason mileage choice matters. There's a tyre repair kit rather than a spare wheel.

That depends entirely on what's available at the time. Rentals move as pricing is refreshed, and the cheapest trim, powertrain or term today may not be the cheapest next month. The live deals below show where the Duster range currently sits, and our team can check anything you can't see listed.
