The current Alpine line-up we lease runs to three models across two body styles: a two-seat petrol coupe and two electric hatchbacks. It's a small range, and deliberately so.

About Alpine

Alpine is a French performance marque that builds driver-focused cars in modest numbers, and it is now largely an electric brand: two of the three models we price are electric, with one petrol coupe alongside them.

The Alpine range we lease

Three Alpine models are priced on this page, in two body styles. The Coupe is the two-seat petrol A110. The Hatchback pair, the A290 and A390, are both electric and both seat five, with very different footprints and boot sizes.

Coupe

The Alpine A110 is the brand's petrol sports car and the purist's pick: two seats, a 196-litre boot and a length of about 4.18 m. It suits a driver who wants involvement above practicality, and it comes in six trims. Deals start from £849.40 a month.

Hatchback

The Alpine A290 is the electric hot hatch, 4.00 m long with five seats, a 300 to 326-litre boot depending on version and a 4-star Euro NCAP rating. Eight trims, and the easiest Alpine to live with in town. Deals start from £405.44 a month.

The Alpine A390 is the electric family option: five seats, a 532-litre boot, 4.62 m long and rated 4 stars by Euro NCAP, in a choice of two trims. Pick it if you want Alpine handling without giving up rear seats. Deals start from £735.07 a month.

Electric and hybrid Alpine models

Two of the three Alpine models we price are electric: the A290 and the A390. There is no plug-in hybrid in the range, so the choice for a driver leaving petrol behind is between the smaller hatchback and the larger one.

The A290 is the 4.00 m car, with five seats and 300 to 326 litres of boot space depending on version. The A390 stretches to 4.62 m and carries a 532-litre boot, which makes it the more realistic proposition for a family that also takes luggage.

On the electric and hybrid models, Alpine gives a battery warranty of 8 years / 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of capacity. Why lease an Alpine?

Leasing an Alpine means paying a fixed monthly rental to use the car for an agreed term and mileage, then handing it back. Road tax is included for the contract duration, and the manufacturer warranty of 3 years / 60,000 miles covers most standard lease lengths.

Which Alpine should you choose?

Start with seats and boot, because the three Alpines answer very different briefs. Two of them are electric family hatchbacks; one is a two-seat petrol coupe. Work out which of those descriptions fits your week and the decision largely makes itself.

Smallest and easiest to park: the A290, at 4.00 m long. It still seats five and offers 300 to 326 litres of boot space depending on version, so it isn't a token back seat.

The family choice: the A390. Five seats, a 532-litre boot and 4.62 m of length make it the one you can load up, and it's rated 4 stars by Euro NCAP, as is the A290.

If you want petrol and don't need rear seats, it's the A110 - two seats, a 196-litre boot and roughly 4.18 m long. Pack light.
