Alfa Romeo Junior Lease Deals

The Alfa Romeo Junior is a compact five-seat SUV offered with a 143 bhp 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine or a 54 kWh electric powertrain. This page explains the Junior entry model, Ti and Sport Speciale trims and helps you pick the right version to lease.

The Alfa Romeo Junior is a compact five-seat SUV, 4.17 metres long. It's the model that brings the badge within reach of drivers who'd normally be looking at a mainstream small crossover.

There's one body style, an SUV with five doors, and two powertrains: a 1.2-litre turbo petrol with 143 bhp, or a 54 kWh electric version with 154-278 bhp and an electric range of up to 200 miles (WLTP). Both drive the front wheels through an automatic gearbox.

Trims are simple too. Junior entry model, Ti and Sport Speciale, with a Technology Pack and a Tech Pack available as add-ons rather than separate trims.

About the Alfa Romeo Junior

The Junior is Alfa Romeo's small SUV, built to widen the brand's appeal well beyond traditional Alfa buyers. It seats five, carries 400-415 litres in the boot depending on the version, and comes with a three-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty.

Reviewers consistently praise the styling - the shield grille and the cut-off tail are unmistakably Alfa - and note that it steers more crisply than several mechanically related rivals. The common criticisms are cabin plastics that feel ordinary in places and rear seat space that's tight for adults.

At 4.17 m long with a 10.5 m turning circle, it's genuinely easy to place in town, which is where most of these cars spend their lives.

Why lease an Alfa Romeo Junior?

Because the standard kit list is strong across the range and the car is small enough to suit everyday UK driving. Every Junior gets keyless entry and start, a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air conditioning, ambient lighting and rain-sensing wipers.

On safety, autonomous emergency braking, rear parking sensors, automatic high beam, automatic headlights and an electric parking brake are fitted to every version. A rear-view camera, front parking sensors and adaptive cruise control are available as options lower down the range and standard on Sport Speciale.

Practicality is decent for the size: 400-415 litres of boot space with the rear seats up depending on version, 1,265-1,280 litres folded, and braked towing of up to 1,100 kg. Every Junior carries a tyre repair kit rather than a spare wheel, which is worth knowing before you order.

Which Junior powertrain is right for me?

Two choices: a 1.2-litre turbo petrol, or the 54 kWh electric Junior. Both are automatic and front-wheel drive, so the real question is whether charging fits your week.

1.2-litre turbo petrol, 143 bhp

A three-cylinder turbo petrol with a six-speed automatic gearbox, 230 Nm of torque and 0-62 mph in 8.9 seconds. Official economy is 57.6-58.8 mpg with CO2 of 110 g/km, and the boot is 415 litres with the seats up. No plug, no charging to plan around.

54 kWh electric, 154-278 bhp

Fully electric, with a WLTP range of 200 miles and 51.0 kWh of the 54.0 kWh battery usable. Power runs from 154 bhp to 278 bhp and 0-62 mph from 9.0 to 5.9 seconds. Charging peaks at 100 kW, giving 20-100% in 27 minutes on the best version.

Home charging takes 5.8 hours from empty at 11 kW on the best version. If you've somewhere to plug in overnight, it's a straightforward car to run - our electric car guide covers the basics if this would be your first EV.

Which Junior trim should I choose?

Three trims, each a different set of choices rather than a simple ladder: Junior entry model, Ti and Sport Speciale.

Junior entry model

The starting point, on 18-inch Petali diamond cut alloy wheels with cloth upholstery, LED headlamps with eco innovation, a 10.1-inch radio without navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a synthetic leather steering wheel. Adaptive cruise control, matrix LED headlights, a panoramic roof and a rear-view camera are among the options.

Deals on this trim come and go, so ask our team what's live if it's the one you want.

Ti

Ti moves to 18-inch Fori alloy wheels and adds massaging and heated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, built-in navigation, traffic sign recognition and privacy glass. Sports seats join the option list alongside the panoramic roof and wireless phone charging.

The Ti is currently available from £326.99 a month.

Sport Speciale

Sport Speciale keeps the 18-inch Fori wheels and adds a leather and Alcantara steering wheel with ice stitchings and Alcantara upholstery, plus adaptive cruise control, matrix LED headlights, a hands-free tailgate, wireless charging, a rear-view camera, front parking sensors, paddle shifters and power-folding mirrors.

The Sport Speciale is currently available from £366.25 a month. Against the Ti, that is currently £39.26/mo more expensive.

Alfa Romeo Junior FAQs

It works well for couples and small families. There are five seats and five doors, and the boot holds 400-415 litres depending on version. Road testers do consistently flag rear passenger space as tight for taller adults, so sit in the back before you commit.

Between 400 and 415 litres with the rear seats up, depending on the version: the petrol offers 415 litres and the electric 400 litres. Fold the rear seats and you get 1,265-1,280 litres. There's a tyre repair kit rather than a spare wheel.

Up to 200 miles on the WLTP test, from a 54.0 kWh battery with 51.0 kWh usable. Official efficiency is 3.3-4.1 miles per kWh depending on version. As with any EV, expect less in winter and more on urban routes.

No. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol with 143 bhp is filled at a pump like any petrol car, with an automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. Official economy is 57.6-58.8 mpg and CO2 is 110 g/km. Only the 54 kWh electric Junior needs charging.

Yes, up to 1,100 kg braked. That's enough for a small trailer or a compact caravan, but check the figure for the exact version you're ordering, and remember a towbar has to be specified before build on a lease car.

Three years with unlimited mileage, which suits high-mileage drivers on longer terms. The electric Junior's battery is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of capacity. Servicing falls every 12 to 24 months or 16,000 miles.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time. Rentals move with term, mileage and initial rental, and the cheapest trim this month isn't always the cheapest next month. Check the current Junior deals below, or our guide to choosing your spec if you're torn.

Specifications from Alfa Romeo's UK data; equipment, range and availability vary by version, so check the individual deal before you order.
