The ever-popular Volvo XC40 has been updated with more technology and styling improvements.

It’s an increasingly popular mid-size SUV and the Volvo XC60 car lease range has been updated.

This is a previous World Car of the Year winner, and it’s the firm’s worldwide bestseller.

Along with an updated exterior, the firm has also introduced ground-breaking connectivity as well as driver-safety assistance technologies.

Among the new design tweaks, there’s a front grille, air intakes and a new lower front bumper.

The exhaust pipes have also been hidden as part of the step-change to Volvo’s desire to build electric-only cars.

New contract hire Volvo XC60

The big change for the new contract hire Volvo XC60 is connectivity and here they take technology to a new level.

In an industry-first, Volvo is adding an Android-powered infotainment system to its SUV.

The firm says this will blend seamlessly into a driver’s lifestyle and give easy and quick access to Google apps and services.

Among them will be Google Assistant for its voice recognition, Google Maps for the satnav and there are apps from Google Play Store.

It helps too that Volvo will be offering its new vehicle with the required data for four years.

Drivers also get an improved 12.3-inch driver display with better graphics to display the car’s status and performance information.

Safety equipment improvements include a rear automatic brake function that will automatically engage when it detects the risk of a collision when reversing.

Volvo says this will dramatically reduce incidents of parking scrapes.

Pilot Assist driver system

The carmaker is also offering the Pilot Assist driver system as an option which will deliver semi-autonomous driving.

However, Volvo says that the system has been improved to avoid accidents and now has an emergency stop assist function.

The XC60 contract hire line-up consists of four mild-hybrid and three plug-in hybrids, and the power outputs range from 197 hp, and up to 405 hp.

Except for the entry-level model, the B5, all XC60s are all-wheel drive.
