Specification for the new Alfa Romeo Tonale revealed

It has been hailed as the most technologically advanced model they’ve ever made, and the contract hire Alfa Romeo Tonale simply impresses.

It’s also the first vehicle to be equipped with an NFT digital certificate, plus there’s an innovative infotainment system with over-the-air updates.

Alfa has also added top-level connectivity and standard features include a 10.25-inch display with Bluetooth connectivity, satnav and DAB radio.

The new model also has automatic wipers and lights as well as dual zone air conditioning.

The new model has two trims, the Veloce and Ti, and there’s also a launch edition called the Speciale.

The Ti trim features alloy wheels, a gloss-black body kit, with a sporty black cloth upholstery seats. Drivers also get a sporty leather steering wheel and split rear seats with a ski pass.

The Veloce adds larger alloy wheels, privacy glass, red Brembo brake callipers with aluminium door sills and pedals for the interior. There are also aluminium shifting panels on the steering column as well as red and black Alcantara upholstery.

The Speciale has larger alloys and special badging.

The Tonale uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine

Since this is a hybrid, the Tonale uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 160 hp and which is mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic gearbox.

There’s also an electric motor that can power the wheels without the aid of the petrol engine.

Alfa says the new creation still delivers the enjoyable driving agility and dynamics that fans of the marque have come to expect.

The interior has been designed for comfort and there’s good use of premium materials, plus there’s easy access to Amazon services and there’s Alexa voice assistant onboard.

The car also has a new smartphone app so drivers can access various features and drivers can help lower their insurance costs with Alfa’s ‘Connect Box’ that will offer the vehicle’s telematics data to insurance providers and other partners.

Alfa says they are reinventing the SUV and the Tonale is the first step in the carmaker’s electric journey with hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions available.
