Suzuki Swace gets a revamp

The contract hire Suzuki Swace has been updated with better performance and a new grade structure.

The Swace is a versatile and stylish estate car that offers impressive hybrid performance and a stable ride.

Suzuki says that its refreshed model offers a much quicker 0 to 62 mph time of 9.4 seconds, that’s down from the first model’s sprint time of 11.1 seconds at the end of 2020.

The new model structure now includes Motion and Ultra.

For drivers, the standard specification for the Suzuki Swace car lease range has been improved with the Motion model including seven airbags, an emergency driving stop system, dual zone automatic air conditioning, LED rear lamps and an 8.0-inch LCD display.

There’s also a heated steering wheel and front seats, smartphone connectivity, a new digital instrument cluster and a rear parking camera.

Suzuki is also adding dynamic radar cruise control and USB ports.

The Ultra offers smart door locking, safe exit assist, projector headlights, rear cross traffic alert and a blind spot monitor.

Other features now include wireless charging, interior lighting and front and rear parking sensors.

The new version of the Swace

The infotainment system for the new version of the Swace includes Bluetooth connectivity and steering wheel controls.

The display is crisp, and it has a higher definition than the model previously – which was a 7.0-inch information display.

For those who need a spacious estate car, then there’s a lot to recommend the Swace, particularly for those sitting in the rear seats, and there are lots of storage places dotted around the cabin.

The boot is 596 litres with a storage area for dirty or wet items. There’s also an automatic illuminating light and an electrical socket.

The Swace lease line-up

Performance for the Swace lease line-up features a 1.8 litre petrol unit that has been designed for hybrid use. That means there’s a seamless drive with excellent fuel consumption and lower emissions for the hybrid system. Fuel consumption is 63 mpg, with emissions of 102g/km.

Drivers get a more powerful electric motor in the latest model which has been boosted from 50kW to 70kW with a resulting high level of torque from 163Nm to 185Nm.

With the larger battery, the Swace has an EV driving mode which can be used for short distances and help boost fuel economy.

The suspension has been finely tuned, as has the car’s stability for improved handling and a smoother ride.
