Volkswagen Touareg Lease Deals

The Volkswagen Touareg is Volkswagen's largest SUV: a five-seat, all-wheel-drive diesel with an 810-litre boot and braked towing up to 3,500 kg. It is offered here in Final Edition trim only, available while stocks last.

The Volkswagen Touareg is Volkswagen's biggest and plushest SUV: a five-seat, all-wheel-drive car measuring 4.90 m long, with an 810-litre boot and a 3.0-litre diesel engine under the bonnet.

It sits above the rest of the Volkswagen SUV line-up, and it has always been a quietly understated take on the big premium SUV rather than a badge-led one. Reviewers consistently describe it as calm, solidly built and unusually good over long distances.

The choice here is a simple one. There's a single SUV body, a single diesel powertrain and a single trim, Final Edition, and because Volkswagen no longer lists the Touareg in its new-car price list, what you see is available while stocks last.

About the Volkswagen Touareg

The Touareg is a large five-seat SUV built for covering distance and hauling weight, rather than for squeezing a third row of seats in. Volkswagen has sold it since 2002, and the car on this page is the version on sale in this form since 2023.

Road testers repeatedly praise its refinement at motorway speed, the space for adults in both rows and the quality of its big central screen. The common criticism is that a few cabin materials fall short of rivals wearing pricier badges.

Practically, it's hard to argue with: 810 litres of boot space with the rear seats up, braked towing up to 3,500 kg, and a 3-year / 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty.

Why lease a Volkswagen Touareg?

Because the Touareg arrives heavily equipped as standard, so there's little pressure to chase options on a lease. Every version gets matrix LED headlights, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, four-zone climate control, an opening panoramic roof and built-in navigation.

Driver assistance is thorough: lane-keep assist, active lane-change assist, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam and self-steering parking. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are all included.

For family and towing duties, you also get a hands-free tailgate, roof rails, privacy glass and a detachable towbar as standard. Servicing falls every 24 months or 18,600 miles, which suits drivers racking up motorway miles.

Which Touareg powertrain is right for me?

There's one engine to consider, so the decision is really whether a big diesel still fits how you drive. If you tow, or you do long motorway runs, it does.

Diesel: 3-litre, 282 bhp, automatic, all-wheel drive

The 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel makes 282 bhp and 600 Nm, drives all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic, and pulls from 0-62 mph in 6.4 seconds. WLTP economy is 33.2 mpg, CO2 is 223 g/km, and braked towing runs to 3,500 kg. Nothing to plug in.

Which Touareg trim should I choose?

There's one trim on this page, Final Edition, so the specification decision is mostly about which factory options you want.

Final Edition

Final Edition pairs the 282 bhp diesel and all-wheel drive with 21-inch "Leeds" alloy wheels and leather upholstery, adding an electric front tilt/slide panoramic sunroof with fixed rear glass, front and outer rear seats with Varenna leather inserts and bolsters, a multifunction camera, Park Assist and Keyless Access with SAFELOCK. A powered tailgate and rear-view camera are included.

Options worth asking about before you order include air suspension, four-wheel steering, a head-up display, massaging and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. The Final Edition is currently available from £550.12 a month.

Paint choice spans nine colours across the range: chilli red, grenadilla black, lapiz blue, meloe blue, oryx white, oyster silver, sechura beige, silicon grey and tamarind brown. Availability on any given deal depends on stock, so check the individual offer.

Volkswagen Touareg FAQs

Yes, for families of up to five. It's a five-seater with no third row, and reviewers consistently note the generous adult space in the back and the easy access for child seats. Four-zone climate control, privacy glass and a hands-free tailgate are standard.

810 litres with the rear seats up. That's a genuinely large load bay for a five-seat SUV, helped by a car that's 4.90 m long, 1.98 m wide and 1.70 m tall on a 2.90 m wheelbase. There's a tyre repair kit rather than a spare wheel.

It can tow up to 3,500 kg braked and 750 kg unbraked, with a detachable towbar fitted as standard and all-wheel drive to help on wet grass. Kerb weight is 2,047 kg. Tell us you tow when you order, because towing habits affect the mileage you should choose.

If you do long runs, yes. The diesel returns 33.2 mpg on the WLTP test with a 90-litre tank, and it emits 223 g/km of CO2, which matters for company car tax. Short urban trips suit it less well: our guide to diesel particulate filters explains why, and our petrol, diesel or electric guide helps you weigh it up.

Volkswagen covers the Touareg for 3 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, with a 3-year paintwork guarantee and a 12-year anti-corrosion guarantee. Servicing is due every 24 months or 18,600 miles. On a typical lease term, that warranty covers most or all of your contract.

Easier than its size suggests. A 360-degree camera and self-steering parking are standard, Final Edition adds Park Assist, and the turning circle is 12.3 m. Four-wheel steering is a factory option and road testers rate it highly for tight town work. Insurance group is 48.

That depends entirely on what's available at the time, and on the term, mileage and initial rental you pick. There's one trim here, Final Edition, currently from £550.12 a month. See the live Touareg deals below, or our guide to choosing your car for help picking a term.
