Porsche Taycan Lease Deals

The Porsche Taycan is Porsche's electric four-door, sold as a saloon or an estate with a 105 kWh battery and 429 to 1,020 bhp. This page explains the body styles, the single electric powertrain and the trim choices, from the entry model up to the Turbo GT.

The Porsche Taycan is Porsche's electric sports saloon and estate, and it's the car that proved an EV could feel like a proper sports car. It sits below the Panamera in character but well above almost everything else electric for the way it steers, stops and changes direction.

It suits a driver who wants performance and a real sense of occasion, and who can live with a boot that's modest for the car's 4.96 m length. Reviewers consistently rate it the best-driving four-door EV on sale, while noting rear space and luggage room are the compromises.

The choice is simple enough: saloon or estate, one 105 kWh electric powertrain with rear- or all-wheel drive, then a run of trims from the Taycan entry model up to the 1,020 bhp Turbo GT.

About the Porsche Taycan

The Taycan is the second-generation car, on sale in this form since 2024, and it's Porsche's electric performance saloon and estate. Two or five seats depending on version, a boot of 326 to 446 litres, and a three-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty.

What road testers return to again and again is the low driving position and the precision of the steering, which give it a sports-car feel that heavier electric rivals rarely manage. The flip side, honestly, is weight: kerb weight runs from 2,170 kg for the lightest saloon, and no amount of clever suspension hides that entirely.

Air suspension is standard on every version, as are matrix LED headlights and a heat pump. Porsche also backs the battery for eight years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of capacity.

Taycan body styles

Two shapes, same mechanical package. The saloon is the lower, sleeker four-door; the estate adds a longer roofline, a fifth door and more usable luggage space. Both measure about 4.96 m long on a 2.90 m wheelbase.

Estate

The Taycan Estate has five doors and four or five seats, with 405 to 446 litres behind the rear seats and up to 1,212 litres folded. Slightly taller, slightly heavier, far easier to load.

Saloon

The Taycan Saloon is the original shape: four doors, two to five seats, and a boot of 326 to 407 litres with the rear seats up. It's the lightest version of the car and the purest to look at.

Why lease a Porsche Taycan?

Because every Taycan arrives generously equipped, and a lease keeps you in the current car with its warranty intact for the whole term. Standard kit runs to built-in navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry and start, a powered tailgate and dual-zone climate control.

Safety and assistance kit is standard across the range too: autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. Air suspension, a heat pump, ambient lighting and power-folding mirrors are fitted to every version.

Servicing falls every 24 months or 20,000 miles, and there's a tyre repair kit rather than a spare. Insurance is group 50, which is worth a quote before you order rather than after. If you're new to EVs, our electric car guide covers charging and running costs.

Which Taycan powertrain is right for me?

There's only one, so the decision is really about how much power you want.

Electric

Every Taycan uses a 105 kWh battery (97 kWh usable) with an automatic gearbox, and 429 to 1,020 bhp depending on version. Rear- or all-wheel drive is available. Efficiency is quoted at 3.3 to 3.5 miles per kWh, and the best version rapid-charges from 10 to 80% in 18 minutes at 270 kW, with charging accepted up to 320 kW. A full AC charge at home takes 11 hours at 11 kW on the best version.

Which Taycan trim should I choose?

Start with how much power you actually need, then work through the equipment, because even the entry car is well equipped.

Porsche Taycan FAQs

It can work, with caveats. The estate carries 405 to 446 litres with the rear seats up and up to 1,212 litres folded, and seats four or five. The saloon holds 326 to 407 litres. Neither is a load-lugger by estate standards.

The best version rapid-charges from 10 to 80% in 18 minutes at 270 kW, and the car accepts up to 320 kW where a charger can supply it. At home, a full charge takes 11 hours at 11 kW on the best version. Our charging guide explains the practicalities.

Three years with unlimited mileage from Porsche, plus a battery warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles guaranteeing 70% of capacity. Servicing is every 24 months or 20,000 miles, so most leases will include a visit or two.

Not necessarily. The rear-wheel-drive Taycan entry model and Black Edition produce 429 bhp, which is plenty on UK roads. All-wheel drive starts at the 4S with 590 bhp and adds traction in poor weather, which some drivers value more than the extra performance.

It's 4.96 to 4.97 m long and 2.14 m wide including mirrors, with a turning circle of 11.1 to 12.0 m depending on version. Rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera are standard; surround view comes as standard from Black Edition upwards.

That depends entirely on what's available at the time, and it moves as pricing is refreshed. The lowest-powered version isn't automatically the cheapest monthly rental.
