BMW M4 Coupe Lease Deals

A guide to leasing the BMW M4 Coupe, covering the 523bhp 3-litre turbo petrol, the M4 Competition M trim and how the Coupe compares with the Convertible. Live lease deals for the Coupe are shown below the copy.

The BMW M4 Coupe is the two-door performance version of BMW's 4 Series, built by the company's M division. It's a four-seat, 523bhp car with a 440-litre boot, which tells you most of what you need to know: proper supercar pace, wrapped in something you can actually use on a Monday morning.

It sits near the top of BMW's performance range, above the warmed-up M Sport and M Performance models and below the bigger, heavier M8. Buyers tend to be people who want a serious driver's car without moving to a strict two-seater.

The choice here is simple. One body style on this page, one powertrain - a 3-litre turbo petrol with all-wheel drive - and one trim, the M4 Competition M, with an options pack available on top.

About the BMW M4 Coupe

The M4 Coupe is the current, second-generation car, on sale in this form since 2021. It's a 4.80 m long, 1.40 m tall two-door with four seats and a 3-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty behind it.

Reviewers consistently praise the turbocharged straight-six for its flexibility and noise, and the chassis for feeling composed rather than intimidating - a calmer car than the M4s that came before it, without losing the ability to entertain. The grille still divides opinion, and road testers regularly point out that rear headroom is tight under that sloping roofline.

The 440-litre boot is the part that surprises people. It's ordinary-hatchback territory, which is why so many owners run one as their only car.

M4 Coupe or M4 Convertible?

The Coupe is the more practical and lighter of the two. It carries 440 litres in the boot with the rear seats up against the Convertible's 385 litres, and weighs 1,775 kg against 1,925 kg. Both seat four, both measure 4.80 m long and 1.40 m tall.

So the question is really whether you want the roof to come down. If you do, the extra weight and the smaller boot are the price, and you can compare versions on the BMW M4 Convertible page. To see every body style together, use the full BMW M4 range, or browse the wider BMW leasing line-up.

Why lease a BMW M4 Coupe?

Leasing suits a car like this because you take a fixed monthly cost over a fixed term and hand it back at the end, with the manufacturer warranty covering the whole contract on most terms. For a specialist performance car, that's a tidy way to run one.

Equipment is generous across the range. Every version has a head-up display, digital instrument cluster, built-in navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, heated front seats with electric adjustment and memory, dual-zone climate control, LED headlights and ambient lighting.

On the driving and parking side you get adaptive suspension, sports suspension, paddle shifters, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera and self-steering parking - genuinely useful, because visibility out of the back of a coupe like this isn't its strong point.

Which M4 Coupe powertrain is right for me?

There's one engine, so the decision is made for you: a petrol straight-six with an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. No plug, no charging, no battery to think about.

Petrol: 3-litre turbo, 523 bhp, automatic, all-wheel drive

A 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol with 523 bhp and 650 Nm, driving all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic. It covers 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds and is limited to 155 mph. WLTP economy is 27.7 mpg with CO2 of 232 g/km, so it's a car you choose with your heart, not your calculator.

All-wheel drive is the practical bit. It makes that much power usable on cold, damp British roads, which is exactly when a rear-drive alternative would have you treading carefully.

Which M4 Coupe trim should I choose?

One trim covers the Coupe - M4 Competition M - so your real decisions are paint, options and the Ult Pk Pack, rather than climbing a spec ladder.

M4 Competition M

The entry version and the only one here: 523 bhp, all-wheel drive, 20-inch "Double Spoke - 826m" alloy wheels and leather upholstery. It includes smartphone integration, heated front seats, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, a wireless charging tray and ambient lighting front and rear, plus sports seats and automatic parking assist.

Plenty is available as a factory option if you want it: a 360-degree camera, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, powered tailgate, keyless entry and start, rear cross-traffic alert and lane-keep assist. The Ult Pk Pack bundles extras on top.

Fourteen paint colours are offered across the range, from Alpine white and Black sapphire through to Isle of Man green, Sao Paulo Yellow and the Frozen range. Worth a thought - factory options are fixed at order, so decide before the car is built rather than after.

BMW M4 Coupe FAQs

Yes, more than most cars this quick. It has four seats, a 440-litre boot and a full complement of comfort kit including heated front seats, navigation and dual-zone climate control. Reviewers regularly note how civilised it is at normal speeds.

440 litres with the rear seats up. There's also a 75 kg roof load limit. The Convertible drops to 385 litres, so the Coupe is the one to pick if luggage matters.

It seats four, but access to the rear is through two doors only and headroom under the sloping roof is limited for taller passengers. Fine for occasional passengers or school runs; a saloon or estate is easier if you use the back seats daily.

BMW covers the M4 with a 3-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty, a 3-year paintwork guarantee and a 6-year anti-corrosion guarantee. Servicing is every 24 months or 15,000 miles. Our guide to running your lease covers servicing and insurance responsibilities.

No. The M4 Coupe is supplied with a tyre repair kit rather than a spare. The fuel tank holds 59 litres and the turning circle is 12.6 m, which is worth knowing if you park in tight multi-storeys.

That depends entirely on what's available at the time, and it moves as offers are refreshed. There's one trim and one powertrain on the Coupe, so term, mileage and initial rental drive most of the difference.
