View dealThe Audi Q6 Sportback is the coupe-roofed body style of Audi's electric Q6: the same five-seat, 4.77 m car underneath, wearing a lower, faster-sloping roofline and a more tapered tail. It sits in the middle of Audi's electric line-up, above the smaller Q4 and below the largest Q models.
It suits drivers who want a quiet, long-legged family car and care about how it looks on the driveway. Road testers consistently praise the refinement, the seat comfort and the charging speed, and are less impressed by the driving fun and some of the cabin plastics.
The choice here is simple: one body style, one electric powertrain family with a choice of battery sizes and either rear- or all-wheel drive, and four trims - Sport, S Line, Black Edition and Vorsprung.

The current Q6, on sale in this form since 2024, is Audi's mid-size electric model, and the Sportback is its sleeker body style. Five seats, 4.77 m long, a 499-511 litre boot depending on version, and a 3-year / 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty.
Reviewers describe it as a comfortable, hushed motorway car rather than a back-road entertainer: quick enough in every form, but tuned for calm. The interior draws most of the comment, with its wide curved screen setup winning praise for graphics and response, while some testers feel the materials lower down don't match the badge.
Range stretches to 406 miles (WLTP) on the best version, which is where the Sportback's slipperier shape earns its keep. Euro NCAP awarded the Q6 five stars, with 91% for adult occupant protection.
Pick the Sportback for the shape and the extra range; pick the Q6 SUV if you regularly carry tall loads or tall teenagers. Both are 5-seat, 5-door cars of the same 4.77 m length and 2.90 m wheelbase, so the difference is in the roof and the tail.
The Sportback holds 499-511 litres with the rear seats up and 1,361-1,373 litres folded. The SUV gives you 514-526 litres and 1,517-1,529 litres folded, so the gap is small with the seats up and much bigger with them down. Towing is the same on both, at up to 2,400 kg braked. You can see every version together on the Audi Q6 range page.
Because the standard kit list is unusually complete for a premium electric car, and because leasing keeps you inside the 3-year / 60,000-mile warranty period. Every version and trim has adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, heated front seats and built-in navigation.
Also standard across the range: wireless phone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a heat pump, three-zone climate control, electric seat memory, ambient lighting and front sports seats. On the safety side you get autonomous emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, active lane-change assist, traffic sign recognition and automatic high beam, plus automatic parking assist.
Practical details matter on a contract: five seats, a 499-511 litre boot depending on version, a 12.1 m turning circle, and a tyre repair kit rather than a spare. The battery carries its own 8-year / 100,000-mile warranty, guaranteeing 75% of capacity.
There's one powertrain family here - fully electric - with a choice of battery size and driven wheels.
Battery capacity runs from 83 kWh to 100 kWh, power from 248 bhp to 483 bhp, and WLTP range up to 406 miles. Every version is automatic, with rear- or all-wheel drive available. Charging is the strong suit: 10-80% in 21 minutes at 270 kW on the best version, or 0-100% in eight hours at 11 kW on a home wallbox.
In plain terms, it needs plugging in and nothing else. If you can charge at home overnight it's an easy car to run; if you rely on public rapid chargers, you'll be back on the road quickly. Our electric car guide covers the basics if this would be your first EV.

Four trims, and the jump between them is more about wheels, trim and screens than about the driving experience.
The entry trim, from 248 bhp with rear-wheel drive, on 19-inch "5 Twin Spoke" alloys. It brings Audi connect navigation and infotainment, Softwrap in twin leather with contrast stitching, heated front seats, camera traffic sign recognition and Park assist plus. An opening panoramic roof and a retractable towbar are available as options.
S Line adds perforated leather steering wheel grips with shift paddles, and privacy glass, on 20-inch "5 Arm Structure" alloys. Air suspension joins the option list alongside the panoramic roof and retractable towbar, which is worth considering if ride comfort is your priority.
Largely a looks-led step, with 21-inch "5 Arm" alloys and Dinamica microfibre and leather upholstery with diamond stitching over S Line. It also brings massaging front seats. Panoramic roof, retractable towbar and air suspension remain available.
The fully loaded trim, starting at 302 bhp with rear-wheel drive on 21-inch "5 Y Spoke" alloys. It adds an opening panoramic sunroof, top view camera, adaptive cruise assist plus and the MMI 10.9-inch front passenger touch display, along with a head-up display, matrix LED headlights, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel and sports suspension.
A Tech Pack is offered as an add-on to a trim rather than a trim in its own right. If you're unsure how far up the range to go, our guide to choosing your car walks through spec, term and mileage together.
If the Sportback's shape appeals, the Polestar 4 Coupe covers similar ground with a very different cabin. A size down, the Audi Q4 is worth a look, and you can browse the rest of the range on our Audi leasing pages.
