The Audi e-tron GT is Audi's electric flagship saloon - a low, wide four-door with 496-584 bhp, all-wheel drive and up to 384 miles of WLTP range from its 105 kWh battery. It sits at the very top of the Audi range, above the SUVs and the petrol and diesel saloons.

It suits someone who covers long motorway miles, wants an electric car that feels special rather than sensible, and can charge at home or at work. Reviewers consistently describe it as a grand tourer first and a sports saloon second: hugely quick, but tuned for comfort and quiet.

About the Audi e-tron GT

The e-tron GT is a five-seat electric saloon measuring 5.00 m long and just 1.40 m tall, with a boot of 350-405 litres depending on version and a 3-year / 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty. The battery is covered separately for 8 years / 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of capacity.

It has been the halo car for Audi's electric line-up since it arrived, and the current e-tron GT has been on sale in this form since 2024. Road testers reliably praise the ride on its standard air suspension, the refinement at motorway speed and the way it shrinks around you despite a kerb weight of 2,280-2,310 kg.

The criticisms are consistent too: rear headroom is tight under that sloping roof, and the boot is shallow even at the larger 405-litre figure. This is a driver's car with genuine back seats, not a limousine.

Why lease an Audi e-tron GT?

Because the standard specification is already close to complete. Every e-tron GT has air suspension, four-wheel steering, matrix LED headlights, a fixed panoramic glass roof, three-zone climate control, heated front seats, a heat pump and keyless entry and start - kit that is often optional elsewhere.

Which e-tron GT powertrain is right for me?

There's only one: a 105 kWh battery driving all four wheels through an automatic transmission, with 496-584 bhp depending on version. So the real decision is whether an electric car fits your week, not which engine to pick.

Which e-tron GT trim should I choose?

Two trims, and the gap between them is power and convenience kit rather than luxury - both are lavishly equipped.

e-tron GT entry model

The entry model has 496 bhp and all-wheel drive, 20-inch "5-spoke Areo Design" alloys and leather and artificial leather upholstery. Standard kit includes MMI navigation plus with MMI touch and MMI search, heated front seats, adaptive cruise assist with emergency assist and active lane assist, plus the Audi phone box light with wireless charging.

Options include a 360-degree camera, automatic parking assist, rear parking sensors and active lane-change assist. Deals on this version come and go, so ask our team what's available.

S

The S steps up to 584 bhp and wears 20-inch "Multi-spoke S Style" alloys with artificial leather upholstery. Over the entry model it adds a head-up display, ambient lighting, a parking assistance pack with remote parking pilot, a 360-degree camera and front and rear parking sensors.

A heated steering wheel, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, paddle shifters and sports seats are all available as options. The S is currently available from £1,264.37 a month.

Optional packs

Two packs sit on top of a trim rather than replacing it. The Tech Pack brings the Ambient Lighting Package plus and a head-up display; the Tech Pack Pro Pack adds a fixed panoramic roof with switchable transparency alongside those two. Worth a look on the entry model in particular.

Official WLTP range is 373-384 miles depending on version, with efficiency quoted at 3.4-3.5 miles/kWh. Real-world figures fall short of any official number in cold weather or at sustained motorway speed, as they do with every electric car, so treat the top figure as a best case.

Three years or 60,000 miles from Audi, whichever comes first, with the battery covered separately for eight years or 100,000 miles and guaranteed to retain 70% of its capacity. On a typical lease term the car stays within manufacturer cover throughout.

Across the range 0-62 mph takes 3.6-4.2 seconds, with 625-740 Nm of torque and a 152 mph top speed. Honestly, the entry model is already quicker than you'll use on a UK road. Pick the S for its extra equipment as much as its 584 bhp.

No. Like most electric performance cars, the e-tron GT carries a tyre repair kit instead. It's worth checking your breakdown cover handles a damaged tyre, because the kit won't fix a sidewall cut. Insurance group 50 applies, so get a quote before you commit.
