Abarth 600 Lease Deals

The Abarth 600 is a 5-seat electric SUV built for drivers who want a hot hatch feel from an EV, with 235-278 bhp, front-wheel drive and up to 200 miles of WLTP range. Two trims are offered, Turismo and Competizione, and this guide explains which suits which driver.

The Abarth 600 is a five-seat electric SUV built around one idea: make an EV feel like a hot hatch. It's 4.19 m long, front-wheel drive, and it sits above the smaller cars Abarth is better known for as the brand's most practical model.

It suits a driver who wants entertainment first and does most of their mileage locally. Range is up to 200 miles (WLTP) on the best version, so this isn't the car for someone living on the motorway.

The choice is simple. One body, one electric powertrain with 235-278 bhp depending on version, and two trims: Turismo and Competizione.

About the Abarth 600

The 600 is Abarth's performance take on a small electric SUV: loud paint and 20-inch wheels. Five seats, a 360-litre boot and a 3-year / 100,000-mile manufacturer warranty.

Reviewers consistently praise the way it corners. The steering has real weight, grip is high and the front end resists running wide in a way that surprises people used to heavy front-wheel-drive EVs.

The criticisms are just as consistent: a firm ride on poor British roads, plenty of hard plastic inside, tight rear legroom, and real-world range that falls short of the claimed figure if you use the performance. Fold the rear seats and the boot grows to 1,231 litres.

Why lease an Abarth 600?

Every 600 arrives with a usable amount of kit as standard, so the entry trim isn't a penalty box. Adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and start, LED headlights, climate control and a digital instrument cluster are fitted across the range.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as are DAB digital radio, rain-sensing wipers, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and an electric parking brake. On the safety side you get autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist and rear parking sensors on every version.

Practicality is honest rather than generous: five seats, five doors, a 360-litre boot and a 10.5 m turning circle. There's no spare wheel, just a tyre repair kit. Insurance sits in group 35-36 depending on version, which is worth a quote before you order.

One leasing point specific to this car: the 20-inch wheels and low-profile tyres are easy to kerb, and alloy damage is a common end-of-contract charge. Our team can talk you through fair wear and tear before you commit.

Which 600 powertrain is right for me?

There's only one: a single electric motor driving the front wheels through an automatic transmission, fed by a 54.0 kWh battery. No petrol version, no hybrid, no manual.

Electric

The 54.0 kWh battery (51.0 kWh usable) gives a WLTP range of up to 200 miles and 3.3 miles per kWh, with 235-278 bhp depending on the version and 345 Nm of torque throughout. It charges at up to 100 kW, so 0-80% takes 27 minutes on the best version, or 5.8 hours from empty on an 11 kW home supply. It suits drivers who can charge at home; if you can't, look elsewhere. Our electric car guide covers the basics.

Which 600 trim should I choose?

Two trims, and the gap between them is meaningful: Turismo covers the essentials, Competizione adds power, cabin technology and driver assistance.

Turismo

The entry version, with 235 bhp and front-wheel drive. It gets 20-inch Abarth design diamond cut alloy wheels with hub caps, LED headlights, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, Keyless Go and cloth upholstery. The Turismo is currently available from £405.20 a month.

Competizione

This is the 278 bhp version, and it's the one most road testers rate as the fuller expression of the car. It adds a 10.25" Uconnect touchscreen with navigation, heated front seats, front, side and rear parking sensors with a 180-degree rear view camera, adaptive cruise control with level 2 autonomous driving including stop and go and lane centering, and a wireless charging pad.

Alcantara upholstery, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, a hands-free tailgate, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam, privacy glass and power-folding mirrors come with it too. The Competizione is currently available from £408.12 a month. Against the Turismo, that is currently £2.92/mo more expensive.

Similar cars to consider

If you're weighing up alternatives, the Alfa Romeo Junior is the closest relative, while the Kia EV3 and Volvo EX30 trade drama for range and cabin quality. The MINI Countryman is roomier. More options sit on our Abarth leasing page.

Abarth 600 FAQs

It works as a second family car rather than the only one. There are five seats and five doors, but at 4.19 m long with 2.56 m between the axles, rear legroom is tight for taller adults, and reviewers regularly flag the firm ride.

The boot holds 360 litres with the rear seats up and 1,231 litres with them folded. That's enough for a weekly shop or a couple of large cases. There's no spare wheel; a tyre repair kit is supplied instead.

Up to 200 miles on the WLTP test, from the 54.0 kWh battery. Official efficiency is 3.3 miles per kWh. Drive it the way it's designed to be driven and you'll see less, which is the trade-off with any performance EV.

On a public rapid charger the 600 takes up to 100 kW, giving 0-80% in 27 minutes on the best version. At home on an 11 kW supply, 0-100% takes 5.8 hours on the best version. Our guide to charging an electric car explains the options.

Three years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The battery has its own 8-year / 100,000-mile warranty guaranteeing 70% of capacity. Paintwork is covered for three years, anti-corrosion for eight, and servicing is every 24 months or 16,000 miles.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time. Rentals move as offers are refreshed, and a higher trim isn't automatically dearer per month. The live Abarth 600 deals below this page show what's on the table today, sorted by term, mileage and initial rental.
