Engine choices for the Skoda Kamiq

There are three petrol engine choices for the Skoda Kamiq consisting of 1.0 litre and 1.5 litre units plus a 1.6 litre diesel unit.

The engines produce between 95 PS to 150 PS and the 1.0 litre choice is the first engine in the firm’s SUV range to run on eco-friendly natural gas.

All of the engines are mated to either a five- or six-speed manual box and there’s the option of a seven-speed TSG.

There are some clever design features on the Skoda Kamiq which helps to make it an easy car to live with, particularly for everyday use.

There’s automatic door edge protection as an option, a tip-to-close function on the electric tailgate and an electrically retractable tow bar.

There’s also a torch in the boot, an ice scraper in the fuel filler flap with the driver’s door featuring an umbrella compartment complete with umbrella and tyre tread depth gauge.

For those who enjoy connectivity and entertainment, then the Skoda Kamiq offers an impressive system with voice commands that will understand natural speech.

There’s also an e-Call function that connects to mobile online services and drivers can also download apps from the Skoda shop to really utilise the offering.

The Skoda Kamiq has higher ground clearance for those who may want to take the car off-road and it is particularly suitable for dealing with muddy fields and rutted country paths.

Among the options is a panoramic roof and the interior is entirely new with hard wearing materials and high comfort levels.

The boot capacity is a useful 400 litres and with the rear seats folded flat, this extends to 1,095 litres.
