New Peugeot e-308 and e-308 SW models revealed

This is the stylish contract hire Peugeot e-308, along with the e-308 SW estate version, as the carmaker’s latest 100% electric models.

There are already available as plug-in hybrids, and the new battery-powered cars will be available to lease next year.

The new e-308 will have a new electric powertrain that features a 54kWh battery and a 156 bhp electric motor.

Both models have a range of 248 miles – with the e-308 SW becoming the first all-electric estate car available from the European manufacturer.

Two brand new contract hire Peugeot e-308 and e-308 SW models have been unveiled by the carmaker.

Get the choice of three driving modes

Drivers get the choice of three driving modes – sport, normal or eco – to suit their driving style or environment.

There’s also the ‘brake’ mode to enable drivers to gain extra miles since energy is recovered when the accelerator pedal is released.

Peugeot has also added an onboard 11kW charger as standard so rapid charging stations can be accessed and the battery can be recharged to 80% of its capacity in just 25 minutes.

The new models are available in Allure and GT trims, and they also feature the firm’s new badge on the grille.

Peugeot e-308 car lease model is packed with safety equipment

The Peugeot e-308 car lease model is packed with safety equipment, including long-range blind spot monitoring, that’s up to 75 metres, stop and go, adaptive cruise control and rear traffic alert.

There’s also the firm’s i-Cockpit fitted, along with a head-up display that can be easily customised and there’s a 10.0-inch touchscreen.

A lot of thought has gone into the design of the cabin with an intuitive infotainment system, extensive use of premium materials and configurable buttons.

Peugeot also says they had to develop a new aluminium wheel for the electric versions of the 308 to optimise its performance with aerodynamic efficiency.

Playing a part in Peugeot’s electrification process

The new model is also playing a part in Peugeot’s electrification process and, by 2025, the firm will offer a battery-powered version of every model it makes.

While the new car has been unveiled, the new models will not be available until later next year in the UK.

As contract hire offerings, the Peugeot e-308 and e-308 SW look like they will be great car leasing choices when they finally become available.
