The Peaq is Škoda's electric flagship: a 4.87 m, 2.97 m-wheelbase SUV with seven seats as standard in the UK, and a battery big enough for genuine long-distance family use.
Reviewers who have driven early cars consistently praise the ride comfort, the low noise levels and the sheer amount of second-row space, while noting that the third row - as in almost every seven-seater - is best kept for children or shorter trips.
The practical numbers back that up: 299 litres of boot space with all seven seats in use, 2,075 litres with the second and third rows folded, and a battery warranty of 8 years or 100,000 miles guaranteeing 70% of capacity.
Because the Peaq is generously equipped from the entry trim up, and leasing keeps a large, technology-heavy electric SUV on a fixed monthly cost for a fixed term. Every version gets the same battery and the same core kit.
Standard across the range: heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control, an electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory, a powered tailgate, keyless entry and start, wireless phone charging, built-in navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and privacy glass.
Safety and assistance kit is standard too - adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam and front and rear parking sensors. Note the spare wheel: there isn't one, just a tyre repair kit.
There's one to choose from. The Peaq is electric only, with a 91 kWh battery, an automatic gearbox and a choice of rear- or all-wheel drive, so the real decision is drive layout rather than engine.
Power runs from 282 to 295 bhp, 0-62 mph takes 6.8-7.1 seconds and WLTP range reaches up to 395 miles, with 370 miles at the other end of the range. Charging peaks at 199 kW, and the best version covers 10-80% in 28 minutes. Rear-wheel drive suits most buyers; all-wheel drive adds traction in poor weather.

Three trims, each building on the one below: SE L, Edition and SportLine. A Relax Pack and a Pan roof Pack are available as options on top, the latter adding a panoramic opening glass sunroof with dynamic shade control.
The entry trim is far from basic: 19-inch "Gharial" alloys, cloth upholstery, an Android-based infotainment and navigation system, a heated two-spoke leather steering wheel, predictive adaptive cruise with traffic jam assist, dual 25W wireless charging, LED headlights, a rear-view camera and keyless entry with walk-away locking. The SE L is currently available from £483.60 a month.
Edition swaps in 19-inch "Whale" alloys and leather and artificial leather upholstery, and makes three SE L options standard: a 360-degree camera, matrix LED headlights and self-steering parking. Ventilated front seats, a heat pump and a retractable towbar stay on the options list. The Edition is currently available from £625.07 a month. Against the SE L, that is currently £141.47/mo more expensive.
SportLine is the sharper-looking one, on 20-inch "Okapi" alloys with leather upholstery, and it adds adaptive suspension, paddle shifters and front sports seats over Edition. Road testers rate the adaptive dampers highly for ride comfort. The SportLine is currently available from £534.95 a month. Against the Edition, that is currently £90.12/mo cheaper. Best value
If a seven-seat electric SUV is the shape you're after, the Peugeot 5008 covers similar ground with three rows and a family-first interior. Worth a look alongside the Peaq before you commit.
