The Leapmotor T03 is a 3.62-metre four-seat electric car built for town and city driving, with a 37.3 kWh battery, 94 bhp and up to 171 miles of WLTP range. There is one powertrain and one trim, so choosing is mostly about colour, options and contract terms.
The Leapmotor T03 is a small, four-seat electric car built around town driving. At 3.62 metres long it is one of the shortest five-door cars you can put on a UK driveway, and it is Leapmotor's entry point: the brand's smallest and simplest model, sitting below its larger electric SUVs.
It suits urban and suburban drivers doing short, frequent journeys - commuters, second-car households, and anyone who charges at home and rarely needs a motorway. Electric range is up to 171 miles (WLTP), the boot holds 210 litres and there are four seats, not five.
The choice here is refreshingly short. One body, one powertrain (37.3 kWh, 94 bhp, automatic, front-wheel drive), one trim called T03, plus an optional pack. In practice you're picking a colour and a contract, not a specification.

The T03 is a deliberately simple electric city car: tall, narrow, generously equipped for its class and sold in a single specification. Leapmotor is a young brand new to the UK market, backed by an established dealer and servicing network here.
Reviewers consistently praise how much interior space the tall body liberates - road testers report fitting six-foot adults in the back, which is rare in something this short - and they rate the build quality and the standard equipment for the money. The common criticisms are the fussy touchscreen and over-eager driver-assistance warnings, plus wind noise at motorway speeds.
Practicality has limits you should weigh honestly: four seats and a 210-litre boot with the seats up. Every T03 comes with a four-year manufacturer warranty, and the battery is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of its capacity.
Because you get one fully equipped specification with no decisions to agonise over, and a monthly rental that covers a car designed for exactly the kind of short-hop driving most households actually do. Leasing also keeps you inside the four-year warranty period throughout.
Standard kit across the range includes built-in navigation, air conditioning, DAB digital radio, voice control, a wi-fi hotspot, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and an electric parking brake. Safety and driver assistance run to autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, active lane-change assist, adaptive cruise control, a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors.
Two things customers ask us about before ordering: the tyre repair kit in place of a spare wheel, and insurance group 25 - worth a quote before you commit. The T03 sits in insurance group 25, and kerb weight is a light 1,175 kg.
There's only one, so this is simple: the T03 is electric only.
An automatic driving the front wheels, with 94 bhp, 158 Nm and WLTP range of up to 171 miles. It needs charging, obviously - 0-100% in 3.4 hours at 11 kW on the best version, or 30-80% in 36 minutes at its 45 kW maximum. Top speed is 81 mph; 0-62 mph takes 12.7 seconds. Official efficiency of 3.8-3.9 miles/kWh is strong, which is what keeps running costs low. If you charge at home and drive mostly locally, it fits. If you're on motorways every week, look at something with more range. Our electric car guide covers the basics if this is your first EV.

There is one trim, called T03, and it's well equipped.
The entry and only version: 94 bhp, front-wheel drive, 15-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, a leatherette steering wheel, GPS navigation, a monocular camera and an electric panoramic sunroof shade with anti-pinch protection. The 11 KWCh Pack is available as an option and adds rear park assist. Nine colours are offered across the range, from Light white and Black to Sunstone orange, Mint green and Caribbean blue. Since there's a single trim, what changes between offers is term, mileage and initial rental rather than specification - deals come and go, so check what's live below or ask our team.
If the T03's size and price bracket appeal, the obvious cross-shop is the Dacia Spring, the other genuinely small, genuinely cheap electric car on sale in the UK. You can also see what else the brand offers on our Leapmotor lease deals page.
