Dacia Spring Lease Deals

The Dacia Spring is a small four-seat electric SUV built for town driving, with a 308-litre boot and a WLTP range of up to 140 miles. This page explains who it suits and how the Expression and Extreme versions differ before you pick a lease deal.

In Stock

The Dacia Spring is a four-seat electric SUV measuring 3.70 metres long, built for short journeys, tight streets and cheap running rather than long motorway hauls. It's the smallest and simplest car Dacia sells in the UK.

It suits urban commuters, second-car households and anyone whose driving is mostly local. With a WLTP range of up to 140 miles and 4.4 miles per kWh, it's efficient, but it isn't a long-distance machine and Dacia has never pretended otherwise.

The choice is straightforward: one body style, one electric powertrain, and two versions - Expression with 70 bhp, or Extreme with 100 bhp and more kit. Browse the current Dacia lease deals if you want to see the wider range.

About the Dacia Spring

The Spring is Dacia's smallest model and its entry point to electric motoring, sold in this form since 2024. It's a genuinely tiny SUV shape - 3.70 m long, 1.58 m wide - with four seats and a 308-litre boot.

Reviewers consistently praise how light it feels (under a tonne), how easy it is to park and how little energy it uses. The same reviewers are equally consistent about the downsides: hard interior plastics, modest refinement at speed and a driving experience that leans and floats if you hurry it.

Warranty cover runs to 3 years or 60,000 miles, with the battery separately covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of its capacity. Take it as a town car and it makes sense. Ask it to be a motorway car and it won't.

Why lease a Dacia Spring?

Because the Spring's appeal is low running costs and low fuss, and a lease turns the rest of the sums into one fixed monthly figure. Every version gets air conditioning, LED headlights, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and rear parking sensors.

Driver assistance is standard across the range too: autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist and traffic sign recognition. A 9.6-metre turning circle makes multi-storeys and side streets easy, and the boot holds 308 litres with the rear seats up or 1,004 litres folded, which is generous for something this short.

Two things to check before you order. Insurance groups run from 24 to 28, higher than the car's size suggests, so get a quote early. And there's a tyre repair kit rather than a spare wheel - worth knowing if you cover rural miles. Our electric car guide covers the basics if this would be your first EV.

Which Spring powertrain is right for me?

There's only one: electric. The Spring has no petrol, diesel or hybrid option, so it plugs in, it's automatic, and it drives the front wheels.

Electric

A 24.3-26.8 kWh battery (26.8 kWh usable) with 44-100 bhp depending on version, and a WLTP range of up to 140 miles. Efficiency is 4.4 miles/kWh and top speed is 78 mph. Charging runs at 7-40 kW; the best version takes 20-80% in 29 minutes at 40 kW, or 20-100% in four hours at 7.4 kW at home.

In practice that means home charging suits the Spring best - a driveway wallbox or a cheap overnight tariff. If you'd be relying on public chargers, read how to charge your electric car first, because this is not a car that rewards long queues at a rapid unit.

Which Spring trim should I choose?

Two versions, separated mainly by power and by parking kit: Expression with 70 bhp, and Extreme with 100 bhp. Both sit on 15-inch steel wheels with cloth upholstery, and there are seven paint colours across the range, including Brick red, Khaki, Lightning grey, Polar white, Safari beige, Seafoam and Stonewash blue.

Expression

The 70 bhp version, and the plainer of the two. It adds media control and cruise control with a speed limiter, plus DAB digital radio, to the standard kit every Spring gets, which already includes rear parking sensors. Enough for a town car, and the lighter feel suits 30 mph work.

The Expression is currently available from £175.28 a month.

Extreme

The 100 bhp version, which feels noticeably more willing pulling out of junctions and onto roundabouts. Over the Expression it adds a rear camera, front as well as rear parking sensors, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Extreme is currently available from £191.30 a month. Against the Expression, that is currently £16.02/mo more expensive.

Dacia Spring FAQs

Only as a second car for small families. The Spring has four seats, not five, and rear legroom is tight in a car 3.70 m long, though the 308-litre boot is good for the size. The one-star Euro NCAP rating also gives many parents pause.

Up to 140 miles on the WLTP test cycle, from a 24.3-26.8 kWh battery with 26.8 kWh usable. Official efficiency is 4.4 miles/kWh, which is strong. Cold weather, motorway speeds and a full car will all cut the real figure, as with any EV.

Charging speeds run from 7 kW to 40 kW depending on version. On the best version, a 7.4 kW home wallbox takes it from 20-100% in four hours, and a 40 kW rapid charger does 20-80% in 29 minutes. Overnight home charging is the sensible routine.

308 litres with the rear seats up, rising to 1,004 litres with them folded. That's competitive for a car of this length, and the shape is usefully deep. Kerb weight is 951-974 kg, so the Spring stays light even loaded.

Euro NCAP awarded the Spring one star, scoring 49% for adult occupant protection, 56% for child occupant, 39% for vulnerable road users and 32% for safety assist. Autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist and traffic sign recognition are standard, but the score is what it is - worth weighing honestly.

Three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, on the car itself. The battery has separate cover for eight years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing at least 70% of its capacity. On a typical lease term the car stays inside manufacturer warranty throughout.

It depends entirely on what's available at the time. Monthly rentals move as stock, terms and mileage allowances change, so the cheapest version this week isn't always the cheapest next month. Check the live Dacia Spring deals below, or ask our team to compare the two versions on the same term.
