The Citroen SpaceTourer is a stylish MPV with a good choice of frugal engines and a modern interior. It's also cheap to run on the exterior is stylish too.

ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE FOR THE CITROEN SPACETOURER

The Citroen SpaceTourer is available with five BlueHDi diesel engines which deliver fuel economy ranging from 48 mpg to 55 mpg. The engines should also be cheap to run with a service interval set at 25,000 miles or two years. The low running costs are helped by the use of AdBlue.

EQUIPMENT AND HANDLING

For those who need a sizeable people carrier, the Citroen SpaceTourer offers an MPV that delivers on several levels; it's got plenty of space for people and/or luggage and with three trims to choose from, owners can have between five and nine seats fitted in the cabin. There's a lot of equipment for the SpaceTourer including a 7-inch touchscreen tablet that incorporates smartphone screen mirroring and satnav. Other kit includes parking sensors, cruise control with options including a rear-view camera and radar guided cruise control.

The new MPV has futuristic styling and the interior has been made with durable materials so it is the ideal choice for those with young families or who need to ferry clients around on a regular basis. There is a top spec available which has leather upholstery. Safety equipment includes blind spot monitoring, roadside recognition and lane departure warning system. There's also a driver attention and coffee break alert systems as well as collision alert.

Behind the wheel, the SpaceTourer is easy to drive with car-like handling and it's a natural performer around town. It's particularly comfortable for driving long journeys on motorways and, despite its size, there's little in the way of body roll when the MPV is put through its paces on winding country lanes. While the SpaceTourer is based on a van, the modern interior delivers comfort and lots of equipment.

Essentially, the Citroen SpaceTourer delivers an MPV that is easy to live with and there are some good design ideas on board; Citroen says it's a good choice for families and for those who want to work on the move with a mobile office.
