No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you – this really is a car to enjoy around town. Because of its size, the Citroen Ami car lease model is designed to be driven around town, which is why it comes with just a 5kWh battery that produces 8 bhp.
While that may not sound a lot, and the top speed is restricted to 28 mph, this is a very light and manoeuvrable car to enjoy. It’s also very impressive from a standing start with all the torque available to make this a swift vehicle in traffic.

EQUIPMENT AND DRIVING

However, the Ami is straightforward to drive; there are three buttons to engage the gear: drive, neutral and reverse. There’s good feedback from the steering setup, and the Ami feels composed when cornering.
The tight turning circle makes parking and manoeuvring in spaces easy, and the cabin is hushed. The suspension deals with rough roads surprisingly well.
If you would like to lease the Ami, then be aware that it is only currently available in left-hand drive.
The equipment levels for a small car impress with the entry-level model featuring a panoramic sunroof, LED headlines, a heated fan and a USB charging socket.
