BMW IX1 in a nutshell

Battery & Range FOR THE BMW iX1

The BMW iX1 car lease range has a 64.7kWh battery and two electric motors - one on the rear axle and one on the front - and has all-wheel drive.
The official range is up to 272 miles, depending on the wheels that you choose. Opt for the larger wheels, and the car’s efficiency and range will be reduced slightly.

The battery is capable of rapid charging and can be recharged to 80% of its capacity in 30 minutes. There’s also a welcome setting in the menu so the driver can prepare the batteries beforehand to cool or warm them to deliver rapid charging.

Drivers will also like the 10-second boost of extra power when needed, and this car will still reach 62 mph in 5.7 seconds. The motors deliver power of 313 hp and torque of 400Nm with a top speed of 112 mph.

EQUIPMENT AND HANDLING

The contract hire BMW iX1 is a car to enjoy with a smooth driving experience. There’s lots of grip, and it’s particularly good when cornering at speed. BMW has fitted as standard adaptive dampers so they can be stiffened or softened to suit the terrain or driving style.

Around town, the car is unflustered and offers a relaxed drive over long motorway journeys.
Drivers get a substantial boot size of 490 litres and a cubby hole for storing the charging cables.
The iX1 has a stylish interior with premium feel materials and lots of space for occupants.

BMW has also added a frameless, curved infotainment screen that’s easy to use and is home to the satnav. This consists of a 10.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment display. The system uses the firm’s slick ‘Operating System 8’ media offering.
The exterior has some stylish tweaks and blue detailing to highlight that this is the all-electric version of the popular X1.

The latest model is slightly larger than its predecessor, creating a spacious cabin with very comfortable seats.

BMW has also added many driver assistance and warning systems, including a front collision with cyclist and pedestrian detection, cruise control, crossroad warning and speed limit information.

There’s also active park distance control fitted as standard, and automatic braking will help avoid colliding with vehicles and obstacles to the rear, side and front of the BMW iX1. Another standard feature is a system that will automatically drive out of a car parking space.

Essentially, the contract hire BMW iX1 is an impressive creation, and it’s a car that’s worth considering if you want an all-electric vehicle suitable for families. It delivers comfortable cruising around town and on motorways with a smooth, powerful drivetrain.
