Škoda Superb Lease Deals

The fourth-generation Škoda Superb is a five-seat family car sold as an estate and a hatchback, with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid power. This page explains the bodies, powertrains and four trims so you can pick the right version before you look at the live deals.

The Škoda Superb is a five-seat family car built around space. It comes as an estate or a hatchback, it carries between 486 and 690 litres in the boot depending on the version you pick, and it measures about 4.90 metres long - big, then, but not SUV-tall.

It sits at the top of Škoda's car range as the flagship, and it's the car most people choose when they want room for adults in the back, a boot that swallows everything, and a quiet motorway drive. Road testers consistently describe rear legroom here as limousine-like.

The choice is straightforward: two body styles, three powertrains (petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid), and four trims - SE Technology, SE L, Sportline and Laurin + Klement. This is the current fourth-generation Superb, on sale in this form since 2024.

About the Škoda Superb

The Superb is a large, comfortable five-seater sold as an estate and a hatchback, with five doors either way and a 3-year / 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty. Reviewers consistently praise its space, ride comfort and sensible cabin controls, and its predecessor won family-car awards repeatedly.

What makes it unusual is restraint. The current car pairs built-in navigation with a digital instrument cluster on every version.

It scored 5 stars at Euro NCAP, with 93% for adult occupant protection and 87% for child occupant protection. And with braked towing up to 2,200 kg on the right version, it does caravan and trailer duty that most family SUVs can't match.

Superb body styles

Two shapes, same car underneath: a hatchback with a big tailgate and a long-roofed estate. Both seat five, both are around 4.90 m long with a 2.84 m wheelbase. The estate simply carries more.

Estate

The Superb Estate holds 510-690 litres with the rear seats up and up to 1,920 litres folded, depending on version. It's the one for dogs, bikes, flat-pack and roof-box holidays, with a 100 kg roof load limit.

Hatchback

The Superb Hatchback gives up some load height but keeps a huge tailgate opening and 486-645 litres with the seats up. Slightly the sleeker of the two, and still far roomier in the back than most saloons this money buys.

Why lease a Škoda Superb?

Because the standard kit list is genuinely long and you don't have to climb the range to get the important things. Every Superb has adaptive cruise control, heated front seats, wireless phone charging, built-in navigation, a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and three-zone climate control.

The driver-assistance package is standard too: blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam, rain-sensing wipers and an electric parking brake. That's the kit behind the 5-star Euro NCAP result and its 80% safety assist score.

On practicality, the turning circle is 11.1 m, which matters more than you'd think in a car this long, and servicing falls due every 24 months or 18,600 miles.

Which Superb powertrain is right for me?

Pick by how you actually drive: petrol for lower mileages, diesel for long motorway runs, plug-in hybrid if you can charge at home or work. All three are automatic.

Petrol

The petrol runs from 148 to 261 bhp through a 7-speed automatic, with front- or all-wheel drive available. WLTP economy spans 35.3-56.5 mpg and 0-62 mph takes 5.6-9.3 seconds depending on version, so it covers everything from sensible family transport to genuinely quick.

Diesel

The 2-litre diesel offers 148-190 bhp, again automatic, front- or all-wheel drive. Torque of 360-400 Nm and up to 56.5 mpg make it the natural pick for high-mileage drivers and for towing, with braked capacity of 2,000-2,200 kg.

Plug-in hybrid

The plug-in hybrid pairs a 1.5-litre turbo with a 25.7 kWh battery (19.7 kWh usable) for 201-268 bhp, automatic, front-wheel drive only. It needs plugging in to make sense: the best version takes 2.5 hours from 0-100% at 11 kW at home, or 10-80% in 26 minutes at 40 kW.

Which Superb trim should I choose?

All four trims share the same core equipment, so the decision is about seat comfort, wheels and cabin finish rather than missing essentials.

SE Technology

The entry trim brings 17-inch "Mintaka" alloys with a dark chrome design logo, cloth upholstery, the 13" touchscreen with satellite navigation, wireless SmartLink Apple CarPlay and SmartLink+ Android Auto, a heated two-spoke leather multifunction steering wheel with DSG paddles, heated front seats, LED headlights and front and rear parking sensors. The SE Technology is currently available from £335.17 a month.

SE L

SE L adds heated and ventilated front seats with an advanced massage function, plus 18-inch "Dofida" alloys, leather and artificial leather upholstery, matrix LED headlights, keyless entry and start, a hands-free tailgate and ambient lighting. Head-up display and adaptive suspension are available as options. The SE L is currently available from £380.84 a month. Against the SE Technology, that is currently £45.67/mo more expensive.

Sportline

Sportline is the sharper-looking one: 19-inch Torcular polished black alloys with anti-theft wheel bolts, artificial leather upholstery, adaptive suspension and 15W wireless charging for one smartphone with a cooling function. A 360-degree camera and self-steering parking are options here. The Sportline is currently available from £435.82 a month. Against the SE L, that is currently £54.97/mo more expensive.

Laurin + Klement

The flagship swaps to 18-inch "Belatrix" alloys with the dark chrome design logo and leather and artificial leather trim, and brings the advanced front-seat massage function back alongside heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a 360-degree camera, self-steering parking and sports seats. The Laurin + Klement is currently available from £547.69 a month. Against the Sportline, that is currently £111.88/mo more expensive.

Similar cars to consider

If load space is really what you're after and you'd consider something more van-derived, the Volkswagen Caddy covers similar ground from a different direction - boxier, taller and less car-like, but built around carrying things.

Škoda Superb FAQs

Yes. It seats five, has a 2.84 m wheelbase that translates into the rear legroom reviewers consistently single out, three-zone climate control as standard, and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating with 87% for child occupant protection.

It depends on body and powertrain. The estate holds 510-690 litres with the rear seats up and up to 1,920 litres folded; the hatchback holds 486-645 litres seats up and up to 1,795 litres folded. Plug-in hybrids sit at the lower end.

To get the benefit, yes. It runs without a charge, but the 25.7 kWh battery is the point. The best version charges 0-100% in 2.5 hours at 11 kW at home, or 10-80% in 26 minutes at 40 kW. Our electric and hybrid guides cover the practicalities.

It can. Braked towing is 1,600-2,200 kg depending on version, with 750 kg unbraked. Diesels are rated at 2,000-2,200 kg braked. Check the figure for the exact version before you order, and note a retractable towbar is an option on some trims.

Three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, plus a 12-year anti-corrosion guarantee and a two-year paintwork guarantee. Plug-in hybrid batteries are covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, guaranteeing 70% of capacity.

That depends entirely on what's available at the time - body, powertrain, trim and term all move things around. The SE Technology is currently available from £335.17 a month. The live deals below show today's position.

It varies by version, trim and term, so check the current deals below to see today's comparison between powertrains. A monthly rental reflects the gap between the car's cost and its forecast value at the end of the term, plus interest, so a version that holds its value better can cost less per month despite a higher list price. It changes whenever pricing is refreshed, so check the current deals. If you're weighing fuel types, our guide to choosing your car helps.

Specifications from Škoda's UK data and Euro NCAP; equipment and availability vary by version, so check the individual deal before you order.
