The petrol engines include a 1.2 litre unit or a 1.6 litre offering with the choice of two diesels - either a 1.5 litre or a 2.0 litre BlueHDi. These make for a better choice for those who are racking up lots of motorway miles, but the Peugeot 3008 hybrid is also worth considering and its electric motor is mated to a petrol engine to produce 225hp and this power is delivered via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The hybrid is the most economical choice with Peugeot saying it will return up to 236 mpg with emissions of just 28k/km.
