The Nissan e-NV200 Combi has an 80 kW motor with a new 40 kW battery that's hidden under the floor. The power is delivered instantly so owners can enjoy nippy performance with a steady climb to 62 mph and plenty of torque delivering pulling power. Nissan says the Combi has a range of between 124 to 187 miles and the battery can be charged in less than an hour to 80% of its capacity.

The Nissan e-NV200 Combi is an excellent choice as a family car with low running costs. And while it's based on a van means there are some compromises, this is a people carrier that offers space and practicality with up to seven seats. It's priced to take on conventionally powered rival MPV's with an update in 2018 delivering a larger battery to boost the vehicle’s range. There's also a colour reversing camera, automatic air conditioning, while the top model, the EV 200 Evalia has privacy glass, satnav and alloy wheels. Essentially, there's a lot to recommend the Nissan e-NV200 Combi and it's not just a practical people carrier with the new battery delivering a better range - this is a vehicle that works on lots of levels. And doing so with zero emissions and low running costs is a real bonus.
