Leasing a Maserati Quattroporte
ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE FOR THE MASERATI QUATTROPORTE
Drivers of the stylish contract hire Maserati Quattroporte get to enjoy a 3.8-litre V8 petrol unit delivering an impressive 572 bhp. It's more efficient than the previous model, which had a 4.7-litre engine, but fuel economy is around 38 mpg for the entry-level model, and a lot less for the V8 which will be around 23 mpg.
There's the option of a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine as well.
Opt for the V8 and the Quattroporte will sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds, with the V6 unit doing it in five seconds.
The power is delivered using an eight-speed automatic transmission. Its top speed is 203 miles per hour. Yes, Maserati quotes its top speed at 203 mph.

EQUIPMENT AND HANDLING FOR THE MASERATI QUATTROPORTE
The Maserati Quattroporte lease model was revamped in 2020 with a new interior and more technology. Drivers get to enjoy a cabin with lots of metal and wood, plus quality leather and the driver's ergonomics have been taken into account so the controls are within easy reach.
There's also more space in the latest version so there's lots of room for rear seat passengers and this car is a quiet place to spend time with improved sound insulation. The boot size is a useful 530 litres and there's more with the rear seats folded flat.
The Quattroporte has not been crash tested by Euro NCAP but there is a lot of technology onboard, including active safety systems and airbags.
There are various driving modes for drivers to enjoy, and in sport mode the traction control is turned off. Since this is a rear-wheel drive car, there's a lot of fun to be had in this mode. The electric power steering system delivers a light drive, and the electronic dampers deliver a smooth experience. The suspension and steering make winding country roads a breeze and there's little body roll when cornering at speed.
Drivers get a 10.1-inch infotainment display that is smartphone compatible and there are buttons for the driving modes and volume. Maserati has retained analogue dials for the speedometer and rev counter and the firm's signature clock is fitted into the dashboard.
The car comes with adaptive cruise control, shift paddles, sunroof, alloy wheels and adaptive LED headlights. Drivers also get heated front seats, smartphone compatibility, 10-speakers for the top-end audio system and blind spot alert. Other models feature larger alloy wheels, 12-way powered sports seats, unique rear and front fascia, and gloss-red brake callipers.
The options to help personalise the Quattroporte include a new woven leather material, a black-out package and a piano-black interior trim. Safety equipment includes traffic sign recognition, lane keeping assist and a 360° camera for parking and manoeuvring.
The Quattroporte hasn't been crash tested by Euro NCAP, but it should be a very safe car with a high-tech construction and lots of safety kit.
